GHLF!

This confused me to no frigging end.

I agree (for the most part) with them all. Too many times have I seen guide-makers (especially new ones) commit many of these cardinal errors.

Aw ****. Good catch. I didn't notice it. Here's a plus-rep for you.

I like this :P More people should read it before releasing guides.

Nice one, but just one thing: Do not write ELO with all caps. It is not an abbreviation, it is a name!

That's all.

+1 because someone had to do it.

What I would like to see is another point and that is:

Be a part of the community. Putting a hyperlink in your signature doesn't do anything if you aren't active. The more active, the more votes, the more useful feedback, the more upvotes I'd say.

And don't forget: Use da media! More videos and pretty pictures.

Allthough more like general guidelines than commandments, they are scientifically proven and just.

Truly, we were discussing ideas for a guide like this in the private forums and had come up with something pretty half hearted: Guide Basics.

I'll be definitely sure to add this guide to the list of mandatory reads when writing a guide. [Edit: Your guide is now included in the wikis linked on this page, in addition to my Making a Guide Guide!]

Great work!

Edit: LOL! Just noticed the special thanks <3 :P I would recommend turning this into a General Guide so it doesn't get lost in the Yi guides, even if Dunkmaster Yi es #1. You also may like to link BBCode Guide somewhere in there, along with Frequently Asked Questions to help any real newbs :)

Seriously thinking of Scouting this, great information and I'm sure it'll help heaps of guide writers!

Thanks for the awesome response so far!

Thanks and done. You are now in the Special Thanks section! 8D

Yep well I was just hunting for a flashy title. One could argue that the original Mosaic 10 Commandments are also guidelines for living a fulfilling life and doing good to others. And thanks for the upvote.

Feel free to use the build of course :D No towers were hurt in the making of this guide.

OMG JHOIJHOI SAW THIS GUIDE. I R HAPPY. <3<3<3

Two things, firstly I didn't link the BBCode guide at first because it was taken directly from your guide anyway. It's in now though along with the FAQ.

And the Master Yi cheat sheet is actually a placeholder to ensure it shows up under new guides, because I had previously published one (now archived) iteration of this guide a few months ago, it was set as a general guide but it didn't show up under new guides for some reason. That guide also got buried under an avalanche of Kha'Zix guides and received exactly zero votes and comments, so I archived it. (Fifth Commandment trololol.) Maybe I'll leave Master Yi there for a bit until the rating climbs a bit more, that sounds sensible.

I can't believe I only now realized just how different the game gets once you hit level 30. 2v2 at top... I can barely remember those days.

I really enjoyed reading this. If, one day in the future, I write a guide, I'll be sure to thank you for your helpful Commandments!
