"Siege Minions: Nasus's Property
First things first. The single most important time to use Relic Shield is when a siege minion rolls into lane. Why? First of all, siege minions grant Nasus double the power from his Q. Second of all, the execution is quite nice in that you don't need to worry about its armor getting in the way. Finally, the 2% max health heal is increased significantly because the siege minions have a good deal more health than other minions in lane."
the relic shield heals based off your health.
+rep for making a good guide on something that isnt done. While I do think that top is the place that Nasus goes best, I must agree that he could be play as a decent support. Everything one of his skills can be used to help him support. His passive gives him sustain on auto attacks. I never heard anyone complain about taric aa minions for sustain with his old passive. His q boosts his sustain from passive. Sometimes bot just needs to push so you can drag, gank, or steal blue. Why not get health off of it. You don’t even have to last hit, just soften the minions up faster so your adc can last hit them. His w is another exhaust. Excuse me its better than exhaust in S3. His e gives more armor removed than taric in a bigger area than taric. His ult gives him a large amount of hp making him good bait or tank for towers. Also someone mentioned that nasus is a mana hungry champion. Last I checked every mana champ is mana hungry. Guess what if you don’t spam you don’t run out of mana. Guess what many support items give. Unfortunately support nasus doesn’t use his q or passive nearly as well as top nasus. I do feel that you should change to seals of flat armor and glyphs of flat mr. For summoner spells I think you should change heal to flash or ghost. The escape real helps you not feed. While heal is fantastic both of the flash and ghost will help you avoid damage. If you want the aoe protection of the team add locket of the solari to the build. You should definitely finish the boots before the shurelias. The boots give constant move speed which is better for chasing, running, dodging, warding, etc. and you get to keep getting gold off the philo. Warding correctly will give you enough of a warning that you don’t need the surrelias for both of you to escape. If the role of the support was to help the adc get around quicker we would all play janna or zilean. I recommend you change the Shard of true ice to twin shadows. Early on in the build you are getting almost no survivability in favor of utility, which is one of the main reasons supports get killed early on. Against a good kill lane they will chunk you down until you get aegis. The active on twin is a ranged slow/reveal of 2 champs instead of a close aoe, you get mr( get tanky), and 5% move speed(so useful). The thought that you deny gold quints, gold seals, and build philo into shurelias so early makes me question the thought of buying shard for gold/10. I ask that you either remove shard and add twin later in the build or just add twin in the alternate options section. Frozen fist/mallet both give very nice chasing power and survivability to melee support characters. Randuins omen is better than frozen heart in most siutations. The active physically slows them while applying the atk speed debuff. You should get the 1 point in the offensive tree to upgrade exhaust. Think adc shut down for ten seconds between you exhausts with 50 less armor than normal 0.0 . Can you plz revise your statements about people who “cant” tower dive. Ive successfully dived both enemies with all those characters(this means with my adc, no gankers)
Thank you for the insight. I have read through your comment and have looked into some things. Thanks for the great review!
I used to use Nasus as a support, he was my go-to support for a while, but the past few games I've played with him as support this week have not gone as well as they used to.
