I know I said I wouldn't post any guides anymore and for now I most likely won't but it's hard not to because I have so many guides that I wanna write just so I can help out average players like myself. However like I said before the troll/hate/******ed votes have pissed me off so much and that's why I stopped writing guides.
If those votes didn't matter I'd be fine with them but they do because they bring the guide's rating down and if that happens the amount of views will decrease and we all know the average player is more likely to check out the guides with the most rating instead of the other ones even if they are really good.
So my question is do you guys think I should just write the guides and not care about troll/hate/******ed votes? Or should I just not write any guides if those kinds of votes piss me off so much. Here's examples of what kind of votes piss me off:
Troll Vote - "bad .. -1" - by random player who just created his account (0-1 posts) just to downvote.
Hate Vote - "wtf..noob guide haha..-1" - by some hater who likes to downvote every guide he looks at.
******ed "No Review" Vote - "hmm..bad masteries and runes..not good item build..i see better item builds before ..-1" - by a player who looks only at the cheat sheet and doesn't look at the guide itself. Only downvotes for petty reasons but doesn't give an actual review of the guide.
Nice Guy Vote - "good guide! +1" - by some player who used the guide in 1 game, won and came back to upvote just because of that but only says "nice guide" or something like that (don't get me wrong..I'm grateful for those votes but they just don't help me out in changing some stuff that might be bad in the guide)
"I don't speak English and/or I'm a mute" Vote - "bad -1" - by some random player who can barely speak English or is just a mute and only knows how to downvote and say "bad".
Well..should I start making guides again? I really want to because it's a way to give back to the League community. Despite how bad it is at the moment there are some kind people out there that know how to play this game and know how to have fun and behave properly.
Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me out with this!
P.S - Is this color good? For the text I mean. Someone said in the previous blog post that the pink hurt his eyes or something.

>Doesn't even get responded to.
Ok, I'm pretty much done here. -.-
The bright text colours all hurt my eyes X_X. Use slightly more muted colours. Check out some of the formats of the recent good guide writers and steal some ideas. Plagiarism is the first rule of innovation.
But..they're pretty! (the bright colors)
I left you some criticism on a couple of your guides.

If you really want to make guides that people will find useful, start with one guide and work on improving it (and improving yourself as a player, that helps too) until it's good enough to be featured. If you're not sure what to work on, try posting in one of the numerous review shops in the Build and Guide Discussion subforum to get some criticism. Try to make your first guide (well, from now on anyway) for a champion that you know and understand the best and you have a lot of experience with.
Most of all, be open to constructive criticism, especially from some of the more prominent forum members. Scouts and Vets can be wrong on occasion, but to be honest, it doesn't happen as often as most authors like to think. Don't be too defensive of your work or you won't be able to improve it.
What kind of constructive criticism is there in these kinds of votes (Keep in mind these are just examples. I have received votes that do have constructive criticism but I've also received a lot of the votes like the ones below):
Vote by TobiasTX who upvoted my Katarina guide. His comment says "Nice guide". Funny how he has 2 posts in total but he double-posted the "Nice guide" thing because he didn't even see that he has to comment to vote.
Vote by KuriSkog13 who downvoted my Katarina guide. His comment is "Not the best build for kat." Yeah.. we all know that every guide out there is 100% dependent on the item build. If it sucks the whole thing sucks. That's like saying if a player makes one mistake then he sucks completely based on that mistake.
I could get more of these if you'd like but I doubt there's any need. As you can see there's 0% constructive criticism in these votes. And I've gotten a lot of these. Just ask my Rumble guide lol. Well you can't really because it was still not updated for S3 when I stopped writing guides so I archived it. However it received a lot of hate/troll votes which is why it went from 89% rating to 69%. I was fine with that until people stopped viewing it because of it.
I mean yeah, there's a lot of text there, but most of what you said is essentially the same thing as what your cheat sheet says. You just say what you take, and that it's good, and that you like it. You don't really say WHY it's good. One example I can think of, you said Gunblade is bad on the new Katarina, because it's not worth the cost. Why was it worth the cost on the old Kat? Saying her AD ratio was massively nerfed, in addition to the item itself being nerfed, as well as her AP ratios being buffed is much more information, and people can actually understand and learn. If people needed to know simply that Hat is better for her than Gunblade, they'd just look at the cheat sheet.
Also, there were things that stood out as just being plain wrong. Her q being better harass now comes to mind, you say her Dagger is her main source of damage, kat's ult is the same as before, etc.
For the most part the Match-ups section is good, and will actually provide lots of helpful information to newcomers. I'd try and expand on it a bit though (example Ahri-'avoid her skillshots.' Instead you could say 'run perpendicular to her to avoid skillshots. If you have to blow Shunpo to avoid her charm do it, it's worth.' Also you NEED to include Cho'Gath in that section, he is a nightmare for Kata to go up against
The twisted fate part could use some love too, Kata completely destroys TF, but playing right is required. If a katarina player doesn't learn how to properly stomp TF, he may miss an opportunity to snowball for free.
Don't be afraid to completely change sections of your guide. If you decide you don't like something, then delete it. You wasted a small amount of time, no big deal, it's worth it in the end.
Also, I agree with PSI, you should work on perfecting your guides, and play, rather than writing a lot of guides. Quality > Quantity.
Well first of all, are you sure your guides will help the community?
If they truly do vets and scouts will promote them.
If we're not favoring them there are probably reasons why.

Well they definitely won't hurt the community. I think they do help out at the very least average players. Obviously they're not guides a pro so there are bound to be ways in which they won't help but yeah I think they do help the good people of the community that are looking for guides. Oh and I don't anyone to advertise them or promote them for me. I just want to ..not get the kind of votes I mentioned in the post. That's impossible of course cause those votes can happen to anyone but I feel like they've happened to me way too much which why they were starting to piss me off so much.

My humble opinion on this:
Post the guide, yes, yes.
Then don't make it public like always, that will only attract the ****ty downvoters who arn't really looking for a guide.
PM it to the guys you want to see it.
That way you have the audience you want without pissing off others and yourself.
EDIT:Oh, and btw, White is easiest to read, normally colouring is for highlighting.
How is that helping the good people of the community if they can't see the guide? I'm definitely not gonna go around asking "Hey..if you're a good guy..look at my guide cause I made it for good guys!". Maybe I should just add in the titles "A guide not a build" or something similar. I dunno...
