I'm starting to think you just purely hate her. You must be a die hard Riven fan or just have some unknown you hate her. I can never think a champion like Vi as trash when she has tons of potential.

She's a trash laner, just sayin.
While she does have damage, she doesn't have a reliable way of doing it in lane because a large portion of it is contained in the easily predictable Vault Breaker.
She doesn't have a lot of tankiness because you're not going to be using either of her skills that often because that would mean pushing the lane to get your shield.
Basically, there are infinitely better top lane picks unless you're skilled at it.

So much trashtalk about Vi on here, just play what you want. I think she's alright, not amazing but not terrible. Keep practicing and show everyone that she's the best if you feel that way. I played Mundo non-stop before he was even remotely fotm in s2. Everyone told me jungling him was dumb but look,he made it to the s2 world champ stage.
