Well all I can say is, in a month's time, 
Thresh will either be massively popular as a support and people will just *know* how to activate the lantern and use it effectively. Or he will be a niche pick forever not to be used in soloQ with idiots.

Aw hell no.
There's so many layers of facepalm with Thresh that it's getting ridiculous.
Scenario 1: throw lantern to get someone to safety. They ignore it, and die.
Scenario 2: Throw lantern to get someone to safety. They woulda got away, but go "OMG LAntern" turn back into the enemy team, and die.
