Well, I got stir crazy and couldn't wait. Might regret it in a while, but I'm jumping right in. Oh well, sink or swim time. First game was a smashing success. I actually thought they had the better team comp, our bot gave up first blood right away, Jax ganked Olaf top right after blue but I was able to countergank and at least trade 1 for 1. Jax must not have gone back to base, because I was able to intercept him at his red at VERY low health, so got a free kill, and just snowballed from their with
Hecarim. Bot played very safe, didn't die after that, Nunu was getting beat mid, kept pushing and getting ganked, but I was able to just get Olaf snowballed, then had Ashe bait bot as her first turret went down. I ulted in from bushes as the jumped on her, she ulted, 2-0 trade in our favor. After that, enemy team just teamfought very poorly, always bunched up for my ult, and then focused me with my w on and team pounding away. All in all a very good start!

Now I remember why LoL gets so frustrating. Thought we had a good team comp for this one, really should've won teamfights with all that AoE. Didn't even matter though. We got first blood bot lane when I counterganked, although Leona took the kill. Then I got a kill on top as soon as Urgot hit 6. Then everyone started dying. Not to ganks or anything, just urgot kept dying to darius top, and Leona and MF started just dying bot lane. By the time laning phase ended, we were down 4-15 in kills, but at least i was 1-0-3 lol. Was able to smite steal a dragon away from their nunu who consumed too early.
Seemed lost, but we were actually able to win a few teamfights when Galio landed his ult. We caught them at Baron, they got it, but we killed 4 for only me dying. Pushed top two towers, but were low health, so I told them to b. They tried to get inhib, ended up all 4 dying. Was pretty much GG after that. They had a pretty huge farm advantage, kill advantage, and we didn't coordinate our AoE well AT ALL.
This was actually a pretty dumb game. Team didn't leash at all for me on wraiths or red, cuz they are awesome, and mundo just gets so low starting cloth armor, so my jungle got set back right from the start. Oddly enough, it didn't matter, cuz Lee hardly ganked at ALL early. Bot lane was just like trading kills back and forth (I hate those games where bot lanes just like every time they see each other, feel the need to go all in). Our bot came out on top mostly, and it should've been a stomp, but then MF got caught out of position like 3 times in a row for no reason. Eventually, I hit unkillable Mundo state and they really just had no one that could put a dent in me. At least it's a win.
Well this is really not going well at all. Actually don't feel like I'm playing too rusty - csing hasn't really been good, but don't feel like i'm making TOO many misplays. These two games were tragic. Olaf game I was 2-1-3 in lane, but just one of those games where mid was 0/3 in lane, support was 0/4, adc 0/2, and jungler (despite the 3 kills in my lane!) was 3-4-0. So just wasn't gonna happen in teamfights.
The Hecarim game was worse. Went to jungle, Top Nidalee afk, so had to play top with no jungle, actually thought I played really well, just couldnt carry 4v5. I always think the rule to winning in 4v5 is just NOT dying, and let them make the mistakes. Our Lee mid was just so gung-ho, he got kills, but always died as well, letting them push mid pretty easily. Oh well. It's gonna turn around sometime! just gotta start playing better I suppose.
Calling this the Curse of Ghostrider. I dunno, never even had a chance in this game. I know "stats don't matter", but bleh. i had to spend so much money on wards because lee and yi refused to ward their lanes "cuz yi and lee can't get ganked". I don't know how Fiddle mid somehow almost outfarms AP Yi.....gotta keep moving!

For those of you that know me, after taking a few months mainly not playing LoL, I've got some free time on my hands and am picking it back up. In contrast to Season 2, where I 1) at first wasn't ready to play ranked as soon as I hit 30, and 2) didn't take ranked seriously enough at ALL, I'm actually gonna try to see how high I can climb in S3.
Figured I should make one of these, not so much that people are interested, but just to keep myself accountable and from goofing off in ranked anymore.
I'm gonna stop jumping around positions so much, and I'll be playing Jungle any chance I get. I'm going to take a few more days to get back into the swing of things, get my mechanics back a bit, and then start hitting up ranked. I don't have any expectations really, but I think if I start playing frequently again, I should be able to win more than I lose.
Oh, changed my summoner for S3 - now BarefootSherpa (believe it or not someone had that name before the purge) - so feel free to add me in-game if anyone wants to play. Always looking for people to duo with, so if ya want to, just let me know. Played plenty of goofy AP Shaco and some different KAyle stuff at the beginning of preseason, so I'm starting off around 1300 ELO. Nowhere to go but up......or down down down.
