Get ready for the LCS All-Star Week

As you can see, vote results are out and I'm slightly surprised.
First of all, I'll have to say NA has the upper hand since it has no language barrier. Also, I'd like to leave my opinion open for discussion, mainly on the vote results. Maybe this thread can end up on being a review of the games.

Europe will be represented by sOAZ, Diamondprox, AlexIch, yellowpete and EDward. 3 members of Gambit Gaming (former Moscow5). Imo, this is due to a dominating performance as a team, in the LCS. Consistent desisions and decent game mechanics make them undoubtfully good. However, SK Gaming, last week, made clear the team's weaknesses, namely loss of control. I will not say much of DiamondProx since I really don't see much of him. However, i'd never vote for the remaining two. With AlexIch behind (= camped to oblivion) there was not much else GG could do, not helped by EDward flashing at his first opportunity (being caught repeatedly didn't help, either) I'm under the impression bot got there for the team's stability and that seems a lost advantage, going to all-star week.
I am really not impressed by sOAZ, but i agree he's good. I was surprised Wicked losing the vote to him, but EG results have been lackluster, indeed. 50% win rate (maybe less) is a bit shamefull and shows EG's failure to adapt. However, yellowpete is the designated ADC, since Genja would be the 4th GG member. I'm not fond of either. I had hopes of Nono being a fairly popular vote but I never saw him above 5%, therefore i randomized my vote on ADC on the top 3 or 4 teams. Regarding support, the team would be much better off with Nyph or nRated. Nyph is a passive/save support with very often good calls on positioning to iniciate. nRated is more of a game machine, from picks to nexus.
I confess what bugs me most is the support vote, but seems not many looked beyond KDA.

Regarding NA, not much surprise but I have my 2 cents. Scarra won his right to represent NA on mid. Deserved or not, he can pull really good lanes, even 1v2. However I was surprised how facerolled/owned he got in the last game vs Curse. Completely outplayed, even though they had most, if not all, their main picks. He has a decent conscience of the game and his open/talkative nature helps. Saintvicious probably only had competition from theoddone, even though Crumbs is probably better than both. Not much to say here, since he has a very good knowledge of the game, albeit his mechanics lack slightly. I also favor the absence of theoddone since Reginald is the usual shotcaller of TSM, and Saintvicious can fulfill this role better than him, imo.
About support, I think Patoy would have been a much better choice. Nevertheless, Xpecial has proven himself to be an excellent support, doing great either with chaox and Wildturtle. The latter being not picked, might i say fortunately, even If i don't know much about Doublelift. Imo, Cop would have been a very decent choice. Although he often plays like a wuss, he is a ADC of choice since he is a very safe player. Dyrus just because...

Games will be held in Singapore on May 24 to 26 and can be seen here. the winning team will win an extra spot for their region on the world on the Season 3 World Championship.

GL, HF.

I was hoping xPeke or Froggen was going to win mid so Genja could be the AD. As much as I like EG, I feel yellowpete is nothing special. Candy Panda would've probably been the best choice out of all ADs, but since the votes are based more on popularity he was never really going to win it.

NA's line-up is pretty good.

Wickd lost a Bo5 one-on-one to Soaz, and the agreement was that whoever won people would be encouraged to vote for.
I'm a little surprised by YellowPete getting in there - I mean, yeah, he's Mr. Consistent, but he's not shown the same spark or flair that people like CandyPanda or Hosan have.
Froggen > Alex Ich imo.

Can't really comment on NA, don't know enough about the scene to comment. Although I'm surprised that anyone from CLG got in :S

AlexIch is too greedy and probably predictable to be of my preference but i'm yet to see Froggen as consistent in some other champion as he is on Anivia.

I was so sad when Alex_ich surpassed xPeke, I have nothing against Alex, but watching xPeke (and Fnatic) playing their game is so exciting, they always "make plays", mostly xPeke in combination with s0az.
It would be better if Genja could have gone to Allstars instead of yellowpete, just because of the bot lane synergy and experience.
Europe team looks quite strong, I'm just worried with communication in team, 3 russians with strong accents and probably a bit worse english and xpeke with his silly spanish accent. I'd pay just to hear them talk in game.
