irregardless of whether hes alive or not, we know how the story ends.

its the problem with all 'destiny' or 'prophecy' stories.

no you just know that hes going to die old and quietly

how does that mean his story is over? he still has a ton of other events that can happen in his journey for a glorious death

but hes not going to get a glorious death. hes going to grow old and die of age.

he's going to be thrown into countless fights and he will always come out the victor, because again riot isnt going to kill off a champion.

they can try to tell stories with olaf, but nothing new will happen. he's always going to win, he'll be dissatisfied that he can't lose and die in battle, and he'll move on to an even bigger and badderer enemy to fight.

they've written olaf's story into stone, literally, because it cannot deviate from the above.

yes because what league needs is some ultra one dimensional bad *** who can take armies singlehandedly.

while his old lore distanced himself from most of runeterra, he was a much better character. i'm sick of all this retconning turning everyone into one dimensional meatheads.

yes but know he has a part in the freljord conflict, and his old lore was stupid anyways, it was "GRRRR RAGE BARBARIAN but im smart enough to not tell people where im from cuz i know magic will destroy my town" which didnt make sense at least this new lore of "i want a glorious death but i can never get it" is better and can have branches off of it

hes not extremely intelligent, just smart enough to know that he shouldn't tell where his people are in fear of this stronger force attacking them.

and is intelligent something a viking/barbarian is? no he had no flaws in his old lore, the new lore gives him flaws in his character which is a lot better than an intelligent viking
