In Sweden big corporations have little to no effect on politics at all, to my knowledge.
Isn't there something fundamentally wrong with the system if corporations hold so much political power in the US?

^ yes...there is something very fundamentally wrong with it. even the best politicians become corrupt after a few years in office...that is why we have elections so often. even than many times those in office stay in office because they have the funds and the notoriety. its a messed up system...that's why not that many people want to go into it. bunch a crooks and liars! lol
you guys don't have lobbyists?

Not even close to the US.
It's like US =/= rest of the world.
Seriously:
Regarding politics you guys are way closer to one of those ruined dictator states which are in a constant civil war and get dictated by weapon deliverer than you're to any country in Europe for example.

You mean like:
Some "companies" disregard the law by trying that.
Luckily that's at best one of their CEOs illusion of a "perfect world".
But they hold enough power as it is, if anyone could get treated like that Megaupload owner, US would be ****tier than China (not that it already is to some degree)

I dunno about you guys, but I'd personally rather be using Google+ than Facebook...
Also, Twitter is pretty impressive.
Stay away from: Verizon, Apple, AT&T and Yahoo.

I ****ing hate these kinds of things. Why are big companies afforded so much control over politics? (more on that topic in the video)
