League of Legends (LoL) Question: Is Mordekaiser viable in ranked? and as what lane?

Mordekaiser is great in solo que IMO. He is literally one of the hardest carries in the game. He does have his downfalls though, like how he has not one CC move. He is easily ganked and kited too. You pretty much just be an annoying bastard early-mid game by farming everything and harassing really hard then comeback late game to one shot the AD carry. So yeah, I'd say morde is a good pick.

Mordekaiser is an awesome mid champion who is a great counterpick for most melee AP champion (except Cho'Gath cause his infinite sustain) such as Gragas, Diana, Fizz, Katarina and AD assassins such as Talon, Zed or Kha'Zix. He shines during mid-late game and his damages are huge if played full Magic Penetration. I's my main choice in ranked games and I have about 67.5% wins with him. If you get him do never forget to buy wards, even if you don't fear enemy jungler.

As much as I like Morde, I don't think he's really all that viable. He loses verus nearly all Mid laners, and he's easily preyed upon by junglers. When he does get a chance to shine he's great, but that rarely happens against competent teams and picks, it requires the mid laner to be someone he can beat, and a jungler he doesn't have to fear either. That rarely ever happens, and even if the jungler is someone like Yi or Shyvana, he can still lose because it's just easy as hell to gank him. He does do fairly well against the ad champions that go mid like Talon, Zed and Khazix however. If you see the enemy pick a mid you can beat and a jungler who can't pressure you, go ahead and pick him. I guarantee you'll have a lot of fun, even if you don't win.
