I roughly know the ultimate timers for important enemy ults (
Crescendo,
Curse of the Sad Mummy,
Requiem,
Stand United). Not really essential, just get a rough idea of "they won't have this for 2 minutes".
I usually just ask people "hey is your flash up", or I'll ping and say "ult in 5, if you have flash just go in and I'll follow up". Can't be ***ed to memorize timers for everybody's summoners when I can just ask.

The largest timers I keep are as follows
I tend not to keep track of ult cooldowns and just say, "They used it, it'll be down for a while. I also keep track of escape spells and their cooldowns. Engaging on an Ezreal who used
Arcane Shift a couple second prior is easy pickings, especially if his flash is down as well.
- First jungle clear for when enemy red/blue spawns
- Dragon
- Baron
- Obvious gank path wards

keeping times by memorizing is hard and will usually set you off game.
the best way to get the hang of it is just keep on playing and know the cd margin of most enemy. it is very useful specially against long cd and clash changing ultis and escape skills.
also another tip is what i called the cd margin. just think of this as the window of opportunity where an enemy won't be able(impossible) to have their ult. i don't advise you to do this but this is how i track some ultis(roughly though)
examples are:
for a skill with a base CD of 120secs the probable margin would be around 50 secs would be a safe margin as you would always consider them having 40%cdr. that 50secs is where it is impossible for an enemy to use their ult.

+rep if i helped or if you just happen to like repping ^^
Try to be as specific as possible by using the in-game chat. The enemy Anivia used flash at 8 minutes and 33 seconds, you saw it and then type "13:33 aniv flash" or something to that effect into your team's chat.
You can not keep tabs on all ten enemy summoner spells and five ultimate abilities, unless you have an amazing short-term memory and concentration. So, at a minimum, keep tabs on the summoner spells* and the ultimate cooldown of your lane opposite and, politely of course, request that your allies do the same for their lane opposites. Most people in most games probably wont cooperate in the lower leagues/ranks, but don't let that dissuade you.
*(just my view, prioritise the defensive spells of flash/ghost/heal/barrier)
It is not, strictly speaking, essential at all, but it really does help if you and your allies know the enemy cooldowns to second(s) and take advantage of the windows of time. Most people do not bother with times, but most people once believed in witches.

The sentence below this one is false.
The sentence above this one is true.

Buff timers are easy to keep. If someone kills a buff, just type in team chat "EB 12:10" or something. Remember they take 5 minutes to spawn.
OB = our blue
EB = enemy blue
OR = our red
ER = enemy red
OB = our blue
EB = enemy blue
OR = our red
ER = enemy red

I'm finally starting to feel like I'm ready to try out ranked, but outside of buff/dragon/baron timers, I don't really track that stuff at ALL, outside of saying "flash down top" or stuff like that. The logic makes sense though, if you know the cd of your lane opponent's ultimate is longer than yours, there is a definite window that you can try to force aggression.
So I'm just curious, how essential is this type of knowledge to the game? Of course it can't hurt to know it, but is this something that most people already do in solo queue, or no?
Thanks!
