not trying to say she's as good late game as some other supports...but the implication is she's a bad champion because a decently ranged silence that costs no mana is her only CC, when it's more that her playstyle just doesn't happen to be favored currently.
I'm not saying she's the best support in the game or something, just stating she can be used effectively in the current meta.
Well I did say she was good, just not as much as few others. Soraka would be my 2nd favorite support after nami afterall.

ty xaiolu for the sign :3
Personally,
Soraka is way low on my list of supports. I don't play her too often because she lacks the true CC that a carry can take advantage of and my buddies don't run out of mana with their carries. I might play her if I am playing with a new player to help them with mana issues, but that's it.

Even very good players using champions that can use up their mana pretty quickly like MF will occasionally have mana problems. And if you aren't having mana problems, it's because you aren't using things like double up every time it gets off cooldown, and soraka can let you use spells like that much more often, and that can be a huge advantage in lane

Thanks to FatelBlade, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, TheNamelessBard, GrandmasterD, aviseras and koksei for the awesome signatures
^also her CC is free and outranges lots of other things...if it was a stun or even a snare, she'd be pretty overpowered...just sayin'

Lategame she's meh but in my experience it doesn't matter because the enemy bot lane is wayyy behind and/or me and soraka are wayyy ahead. She's also nice for getting a quick turret or two down bot because we can force the enemies out of lane quite easily and get some nice free tower hits
