Always record in 1080p, I then use x264 to encode it (at approximately medium quality) and apply a few filters to brighten the video up a bit (H.264 encoding makes everything darker). [/quote] My monitor is 1920x1080 which is the best resolution to have as it allows me to watch movies without any annoying black bars.[/quote]
