I like where
Lee Sin is right now. He has a strong, reliable, and safe early game - jungle or lane! He has godlike peel for an ADC, and is amongst the most mobile champions in league. Plus, he's really scary if he gets fed!
His item build totally depends on the circumstance he's in. From my experience with lee sin, people can build him as damage-assassin, bruiser, or support-bruiser. Wriggles is good on lee sin for the easy and free ward-jump, but tbh it's probably better for lee sins just to buy a sight ward from time to time, and get a more useful item XD
Spirit of the Elder lizard, and Ancient golem both give CDR, which are pretty important on Lee sin, because more spells cast = more AS = more damage. As for the exact itemage for lee sin, it really depends on your team composition and partially your playstyle preference (hopefully in that order!)
If lee sin can afford to itemize more damage (due to a tanky jungle & support/mid), he might build some SotEL, a BT, a brutalizer, or something of the sort.
If lee sin has to take the brunt of the damage for his team, he'll probably build more tanky, with maybe a
Locket of the Iron Solari, maybe an
Aegis of the Legion, and maybe 1 damage item - just to give him some front line pressure.
If your ADC is going to have trouble in team fights (2+ assassins for instance), lee sin might mix health and damage, and stay in the back to help your ADC deal with the assassins via
Dragon's Rage peel.
IF you play well with lee sin, you won't ever die, thanks to IMBA ward jumps &
Dragon's Rage (if things get sticky!)
Lee sin is really strong right now imo. As for items, the one thing that i'm a little disappointed about is the lack of items that grant significant MR. It kinda hinders lee sin's ability to be a front line tank/bruiser.
Do you play lee sin often?

I have a bunch of Twitch videos up using Dorans blade opening. I believe it is the best.

Thanks guys. I honestly have only played him a few times, but I've tried to pay attention whenever someone I am watching stream plays him. I felt like I did a decent job playing him last night for how little I have played him, but then again, my team was fed, so I could do dumb stuff and not feel the consequences too much.
I was trying to mix damage with tankiness last night and I mainly just kept 2-3 wards with me at all times. I used them for a mix of ward coverage and so i would have an escape. The problem is, I usually forgot I could jump to a ward and would try to look for an ally or minion I could jump to.
Duff, sounds like I may have to give the Dorans Blade start a try. Do you build him more damage or more tanky with Dorans start or does it matter? Last night I went with a tankier mastery page and had better results then when I had tried him with 21/9/0.

Since I am always slow with new trends I still do this build:
Machete -> Madreds -> Boots -> Vamp Scepter/Ruby Crystal -> Sightstone -> Bootsupgrade + Aegis -> Hydra -> LW / Rnaduins.
That kinda covers everything up.
But I guess the Dorans Blade start is more for the aggressive Lee Sin huh

Assuming you have correct Lee Sin runes/masteries, you start with
Doran's Blade.

Scott you should be able to find my Twitch in my sig :]
If not, Twitch.tv/DuffTime.
You can browse the highlights until you find the Lee Sin games, they will be labeled clearly ^_^
To answer quickly, I get 2 Dorans and a Wriggles in most games and head into defensive items from there, sometimes getting a Blade or a Hydra for offense if needed.

After watching Dufftime's thing the other day, I would have to agree with Doran's Blade :3
I usually start with 1 then will rush a second one quickly after.
Following that, I will generally build Bulwak/Randuins unless I get crazy fed, where I might buy something crazy like Brutalizer.
