If they send 4 policemen everytime someone googles something suspicious, then cops dont really have anything to do, do they? :P

This ****ing **** is one of the things I hate the most about America.
The other thing being how corrupt politics are over there.

"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

^ it is good but there has to be a better balance. we are definitely on the paranoia end of the spectrum right now. every little thing puts us on high alert. doesn't help that the news/media system itself drives paranoia by sensationalizing everything...i mean come on snowmageddon? that **** still makes me laugh but a lot of people took it to heart and thought if they didn't prepare or even if they did they might die.
f#ck the media.
EDIT: regarding your point searz about politics...simply the US government is too big to be run the way it was run when it was founded, even than the government was corrupt...now it is 10 times the size so the corruption is worse than it was...you can elect a brand new fresh face from the working class and in two years he will most likely be bribed by some lobbyist...that is why no one wants to touch politics except the power hungry rich Americans who don't mind being corrupted because they already are. the system works...just like our justice system works but as far as how effective it is and efficient...well that is another story...but considering how large our government is...you got to give some credit considering they are using a system created centuries ago.

So I take it you didn't hear about the event where an unmanned drone killed an innocent person just because a human pressed the kill button without double-checking any of his information? I think this happened in 2011, but I can't find a good source (a bit too lazy to look for long).
This might also give a little more insight(go to the description for links to articles):
"At prices this low, the NSA can't afford to not spy on us."
The single biggest problem with the US right now are the corrupt politics. They are the cause of most of the ******** surveillance and breach of human rights that the government is pushing for/already doing.

Sarcasm is such a wonderful thing isn't it? I remember my trip to the States very well, had a wonderful time. Just the one thing that makes me doubt about coming again is being treated like a criminal at customs. Like seriously...

The story is that a husband and a wife were googling "Pressure Cooker" and "Backpack" at the same time, which led to the government getting scared that they were making bombs, which prompted a visit.
