^lawl.
also, I'm only a little addicted to female lead singers (this happens to be Scarling, which may or may not be actually metal so forgive me if I'm wrong about that).

@ Embracing not at all, it's great to have a diverse taste in music, I myself have a weird taste in music , I listen to classical, metal, rock, 'emo' (screamo, pop punk and the like) and some electronica and pop also Alesana but I'm not sure what I'd call them coz they've changed so much sincethey started. That might just be because as a musician (I play guitar) I find the variety of styles interesting.
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Thanks to LaCorpse, Hogopogo and JhoiJhoi for the amazing sigs

No it's not just rock. Led Zepplin is a metal band and you are damned wrong if you think otherwise.
That song isn't metal, even if some other Led Zeppelin songs might be. It is, however, technically hard rock, and as such I'm just going to assume that Cudd isn't trolling. And even if he is, we can just post metal and have fun and the trolls will leave eventually.
Anyway, I think a couple of people here might be interested in Angel Vivaldi. They do 100% instrumental metal, kinda' in the speed vein. Here's the first track of theirs that I heard, off of their EP Universal Language.

And I don't think this thread has enough dirty vocals yet, either, so here's some more. This is one of the few metal songs whose lyrics are, I think, seriously powerful. The long off-beat sections are also really nice for creating tension in the music.
