Guys, i just cannot settle my mind about this:

As it stands, the lizard elder have been nerfed out of viability as a first item for ezreal, doing the blue build! however the nerfs to tear makes it hard to stack up, if getting bt/botrk first, as the average game is around 35 -40 minutes (aqquire botrk at between 17/20)

so what i wondered is, would rushing tear give away too much of your lane presence in such a way blade as 1. item is better, or should you just rush tear, and not give a single fu*k?

the option would be just not getting tear, however not having mana enough to be all over the place ruins the fun :(

Just get BT instead of Lizard and then go straight into Manamune after that. Getting Tear too early is generally a bad idea because it's basically 700 gold that does absolutely nothing in lane and you'll be dealing zero damage.

It'll generally upgrade at around the time you finish Last Whisper, so it's not really uber lategame.

but getting bt would not make ur tear stacked untill Uber lategame :/

You can rush tear if it's a farm lane, otherwise you should usually build something else first. Doran's blades, vamp scepter, brutalizer or even a whole BT. is fine, I still think it's worth buying on him. You're just under more pressure to finish it before it's stacked rather than sitting on a tear for the first 15-20 minutes.

if you want a tear, get it early especially after the nerf. i am not good enough with ez to tell if you should.

i wil never stop getting tear, as the "blue build" or mystick shot build as it probably is now suits my playstyle so well!
however, as i need tear on it, ive been expiriencing a little bit! so i am going to state, you can carry trougth your laning face, with dorans and tear. You will have to switch off your playstile to a tad more defensive, but your kill potential is still there, if playing with a support like nami, zyra or lulu, who really dont need to all in, and just can pull of smaller trades all day long.

i will keep testing all your tips tough, and probably see weather i find a another solution to work for me! thank you for all the response tough :))

I only go tear on ezreal now if i go back with enough gold to buy a strong damage item as well as a tear, such as a , B.F. Sword, or a .

^no it isn't. 700 gold for non-offensive stats is a really bad deal in any lane and the tear stacks really slow these days. I see most ezreal players no longer building tear.
