Moon's favorite alcoholic beverages
Beer: Harp is my go to beer, I drink a lot of Harp and Guinness in general. Budweiser is okay, Bud Light is piss. I like Dos Equis and Land Shark. Moosehead is a pretty damn good Canadian beer.
I like black velvet's (guinness and cider), i like a lot of hard cider's in general like Angry Orchard and Twisted Tea. Half and Halfs are pretty good.
As far as hard alcohol I hate Tequilla, Vodka and I haven't gotten along since a very long night once in my college career. However I drink varieties of Whiskey such as Jameson which is my favorite although i have become a fan of Bushmills. I usually just drink Jack Daniels and Jim Beam though because I'm the only one of my friends who drinks Jameson.
People should suggest alcohol for me to try. I am limited to my local CVS and Grocery Store selection, but will try stuff if people have recommendations

Now, I'm not sure our tastes are similar, seeing as I didn't particularly enjoy Jameson when I tried it a while back (I think it had some weird bitter taste to it).
But I would still recommend giving these a try:
Laphroaig: A nice and smooth smoky wiskey. All around amazing. The Quarter Cask version is my favorite whiskey. It has stronger taste and higher alcohol percentage than the standard.
Bowmore: It's kind of in the middle in terms of smokyness, so most people should be fine with drinking it. I remember it having a mild taste of cherry.
Islay Mist: A cheap smoky whiskey with some sting. It's blended unlike the other two.
Not sure which ones you might find, seeing as the US probably isn't as into heavy whiskey as the nordic region is.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

This is a brilliant thread. As someone who works as a barkeeper I have to approve of this.

I like too many alcoholic beverages. But my classic "always great" drink is probably the good old Gin Tonic.
I also love White Russian and Mojito.
i used to be a heavy gin & tonic drinker...lately i switched to vokda & tonic though. gin just doesn't do it for me anymore.

As for beer ... I love Kölsch. German beer from Köln. Any German that is not from Köln would probably want me hanged for this confession.

patron is fantastic so it is to bad you don't like tequila...though typically when i drink tequila i get a little crazy. my first bad drinking experience occured with vodka a long time ago...took me a long time to be able to drink it again and now it is my favorite. lot of people i know like jameson, but i have never really enjoyed it...guess i like the smokey whiskeys like searz.

uhhh hmmm...i could mention quite a few....but for beer if you can ever find Boddingtons i think you will enjoy it. it is nitrogen enriched like Guinness so it is thick (and the bubbles go down instead of up haha) but it has a light refreshing taste like a land shark.
