I think I just had my ah-ha! moment with this game. It was like suddenly everything just clicked, and I was playing smoothly. I didn't die once until 20min in. Ended with 8/3/12, which isn't sensational, but the fact that I only died 3 times (and not once until the 20min mark) is a huge improvement (I'm only lvl13).
I think the importance of crafting your build in a smooth and timely manner kind of sunk in. Instead of just grabbing any high AP item (playing Ziggs) I can and running around all hectic, I just stayed calm, and concentrated. I also felt more free to spend time examining what was happening in other lanes. Wasn't afraid to let my camera drift off of my champ for more than a second or two.
Anyway, I'm proud of myself. I think I might've taken that step from bronze-caliber noob to silver-caliber noob.

If you keep up he hard work and continue working towards improving your gameplay by the time you hit 30. Keep practicing, but you don't really start learning to play until you hit level 30
