If I was an owner of one of these skins, I'd be extremely annoyed. Hell, I'm annoyed myself.
These people were around for the skins. They've earned the right by playing from the beginning. Now? Hundreds of thousands of these skins will be sold and they'll be popping up 1-2 every single game. You will no longer stand out, and be able to show off your skin.

"Vintage treatment in the loading screen whenever they use the skin"
All I see are some weird stripes on the Blitz splash now.

Eh, still gonna get Candy Cane MF and Haunting Noct regardless.

Because stroking the egos of a few hipsters who knew about this game 2 years ago is more important than tho keep things fair for the 80% of the LoL population that came after.

Limited skins shouldn't be seen as something to "show off" and be proud of. There is no merit on having a Limited skin besides being in the right time and spending some RPs. If you want to show off, get Gold and play Victorious Elise.

Just because I knew about this game 6 months after those skins were retired means I shouldn't get the chance of buying them for myself ever again? That's a rather selfish and petty way of thinking, don't you agree?

These skins will always be uncommon since they'll be Legacy. Yeah some people will pick them and some will miss them. New players will come. So what if like 20% more players will own them now? If being the only person in the world that owns a great-looking skin makes you feel better about yourself... Um, well, I have many ways of describing that but honestly, I don't want to be rude with strangers. I think my point is made clear already. :P

Steppen, it's not a matter of "stroking the egos of a few hipsters" or "keeping it fair for everyone". Your logic is that if one kid has the toy, then you automatically have the right to own one.
Victorious Elise is not a skin that you use to 'show off'. Hundreds of thousands of people will be rewarded with it, making it a common skin.
If you didn't jump at the opportunity or you weren't around to buy the skin, too bad. Buy the next one that becomes available. They're called "Limited Edition" skins for a reason.
The entire memorabilia market would entirely crash if we used your logic. Printing off extra copies of limited edition posters, pictures, records, etc because some people "missed out". This would crush my dads business.
It's going to be more than 20% of people buying the skins. I'd estimate close to 65%+, seeing as how quite a few of them were in the 975 range, relatively cheap.

Also, I don't consider you rude. It's a civilized conversation. I presented an arguable statement, you responded. The cycle continues.

People, like me, bought these skins for exclusivity, for the limited edition, for the fact that people wouldn't be able to buy them after. The whole idea of buying these skins is that you won't be able to buy them later. When I bought the skins, I was told they would never be rereleased ever. I guess my complaining rights aren't that large because of the stuff they're doing for the people that actually bought the skin at the right time. But still, seeing limited edition skins like Snowbunny is going to be a lot less of a big deal. And I don't want a refund, I want to still only see another Bewitching Nidalee user only every thousand or so games. Actually that wouldn't work out for me since Moon has it.

I'm totally against this.

And for those who joined after the release of the skins I think it's completely fair that they shouldn't be allowed to buy the skins.

Also I'm pretty sure were going to see Snowbunnys and the other really rare skins every game now, not just 20%

awww yisss. Kitty katarina.

and @Veng

it's entirely fair for Riot to re-release these skins. They gave you all the reason they needed for the decision; you never ****ing see the skins in game. They want everyone to be able to enjoy them, even if just by seeing them. Even after this event is over these skins will go back to obscurity for the most part (Most people will buy them simply to have them and then never play the champion). But anyway, yea. Denying newer players a chance to ever have the skins is BS and selfish, I agree with Steppen.

Well.. Riot can do what they want, it's their game.. Also they wont care that "20%" of their community don't want the other 80% to buy the skins.. They want to make money and people want those skins.. So don't bother complaining.. Besides, limited edition in no way means only available once. It means it's not available on a regular basis.. Look at Doritos, they just brought back a limited edition flavour for the 3rd time.. It's the same thing with the skins.

I can see what your getting at with the whole "I won't feel special when i use one of those skins anymore." But it's not like it was a launch skin or one you can only get through special events, i.e pax east/SDCC.. These were released to the public for holidays and world events.. I honestly don't see why they shouldn't bring them back for newer players..

Also your getting compensation.. And don't say its not worth it.. Your getting a refund of all the skins on that list you bought, a sumoner icon (a somewhat lame one), and a background.

In my opinion, it's not reasonable to consider these skins are like prizes because you pay for them. There is no merit, like the Victorious skins, which you need to earn them by merit. The only merit Limited skin owners have is being at the right time in the right moment.

I have no problem with prize skins. These are fine. If I didn't play in Season I and didn't reach Gold, I can't expect to get Victorious Jarvan.

But why can't I have Snowbunny Nidalee? It was a product people payed for it. There is no effort, besides being in the right time for the offer. That's it. And it can be someone who doesn't even play Nidalee often.
