Well sorry we're not all diamond tier but if your diamond tier looking at guides you're probably an ELO booster anyways. Guide is for people looking to try new things or new to a role or champ. I do agree there are stronger supports out there but I personally feel like he's also a strong support that gets over looked. Just because you didn't do well with him when you tried it doesn't mean it wont work for others.

Blitz and thresh are both banned often? I'm sorry, I don't know at what kind of wood tier you're playing, but both aren't banned anymore at all where I play. Lol.

Point is, his hook isn't such a great of a displacement skill (only moves your target a little bit and doesn't go through walls) and is very short range. Basically, the only thing it is good for is short-range targets -> which will all be tanks (unless you're jungling and able to flank the enemy). Because you're a support and very squishy, you need a more reliable tool which both thresh (very long range hook and stronger follow-up) and blitz (stronger displacement, through walls etc) have.

Besides that, your lockdown is not that strong as, for example Leona, who is more tanky and has a bigger pick potential.

Another problem is W max, which, even though the shield is very good, it doesn't give you as much damage. You need to permantly lock a target down if you want to deal damage (which won't happen cause your enemies probably have some form of peel or escapes). If you can just stay at range and poke you down, you're practically useless. Your ult isn't that good early on because the stun duration scales (which is kinda meh cause a support won't get much levels)

Related to your playstyle, you need MR glyphs, 1/13/16 masteries and probably health quints. Would probably go with hybrid pen marks myself even though armor works.

Powerful enough? Not understanding that. Is it just because he moves and you feel that moves him out of position? And lets be fair, blitz and thresh are both often ban so he is the only hook available in these case.

His hook isn't powerful at all in comparison to what Thresh or Blitzcrank. Basically, for everything he does, there is a better alternative as support.

His ult is pretty much the only thing that is good for him as a support.

Besides that, you're not playing him the right way (I'll explain when Im done with my game)

+1 too that, I've had pretty good results with it and I main support so it's not like I just haven't done it at all.
