Also, have you tried a bootless build with Stattik Shiv and Trinity Force? I find that it's quite effective if you get fed early-game, or get farmed up enough.
And Oddjog44, the reason i max Q first is for the poke in lane and if you accidently hit a creep thats low you will get it. It is all based on our opinions overall correct? Please don't rate this because it isn't how you like to build Gangplank. Rate this if this build is good for its PURPOSE. I made this build for what it is supposed to do. And to recap, I don't find GP's Remove Scurvy viable without AP and CDR (40%). Thanks for the info.
Your W at max rank only heals 360 health
Only, he says. It's only the third strongest straight heal in the game.
Gangplank can carry a game late, his early and mid game can be taken advantage of. This is why I choose to max W first. The heal is outrageous and it can save you from any kind of gank. Obviously, I take a point in Q first to farm. Also, not sure why you build glacial shroud first. I like to build a sheen first as it makes farming easier and makes your heal even better when you max it first. The damage of Q is not a big deal to me, I do max it second however as I try to start making kills. Stattik shiv is good, because you can bank even more with avarice blade. Gotta have an infinity edge though. So overall, I think we have different ways to play GP but just wanted to offer mine.
