Hello and welcome to my Gangplank guide. I've chosen Gangplank because I have been playing him lately and I love his kit and his play style, he is super fun to play and I think you guys should try him out if you haven't already. I feel Gangplank is better toplane than anywhere else. I've been trying to make a good mobafire guide for awhile now. So I decided to do it on a champion I like A.K.A Gangplank, I will keep this guide updated and it will probably change a lot in about 5 days. Today is Wednesday, November 6, 2013, Season 3 is coming to a halt on the 11th. Their are going to be big changes and I can't wait. Now lets get down to the pros and cons of Gangplank.

Pros + Great sustain + Immune to CC + Deals tons of damage + Crits a lot with the right build + Pirates OP Riot Plz Nerf (jk don't riot)

Cons - Mana hungry - Weak ult if not AP - No escape - Might be focused if the enemy team is smart

We take 9x Greater Mark of Attack Damage so we can breach their hull at the start of the fight! Then we take 9x Greater Seal of Armor so we can brace ourselves from them when they return fire! After that we take 9x Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist so their witch's can't use any voodoo magic on us! After that we take 3x Greater Quintessence of Scaling Attack Damage so we can end them and their ship as they sink into the deep blue sea.

Mercury's Treads : Out of all the boots their are too choose I think Mercury's Treads are the best on Gangplank they give him 25 magic resist and they reduce the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds, and immobilizes by 35%.
Statikk Shiv : This is another great item for Gangplank in general, the passive on the Statikk Shiv can crit too this makes it a great item on Gangplank in my build since he has a good chance to crit with this build, it can also strike up to 4 targets and Parrrley does proc the Statikk Shiv passive.
Iceborn Gauntlet : This is an extremeley good item on Gangplank since his Parrrley procs the passive on the Iceborn Gauntlet it also gives some ability power which helps with your Remove Scurvy and Cannon Barrage. It also gives 10 CDR and 500 mana which is super useful on Gangplank since he uses so much mana spamming his abilities.
Warmog's Armor : I grab a Warmog's Armor as my 4th item because it helps bump his health up their so he can stay in teamfights longer, by the time you get this item it will either be mid or late game depending on how your team played the match.
Infinity Edge : Overall just a great item on Gangplank in general, it helps with his crit chance and gives him a good amount of AD.
Phantom Dancer : I grab a Phantom Dancer last for its passive and crit chance, it gives you a bit of movement speed but the passive lets you run through minions and monsters which is great when you are pursuing enemy champions with your Parrrley and Raise Morale.

Skill sequence is simple, we max Parrrley first for that maximum damage, then we get Raise Morale and max it next eventually you will get Remove Scurvy once at level 4 and max it last, of course grabbing your ultimate Cannon Barrage at level 6, 11, and 16. A good combo to kill an enemy is : Raise Morale into Parrrley then you want to Cannon Barrage and respectfully use Remove Scurvy whenever needed. You can change the skill sequence if needed for example say you are getting poked hard in lane, rush your Iceborn Gauntlet for that 30 AP then put a second point into your Remove Scurvy which will restore a good amount of your HP.

My ship was the last sight that many would see
As we narrowed the gap with our quarry
The sound of the cannons and splintering wood
Would herald our paths into glory

We seized all the bounty and scuppered the ship
Our hearts hadn't time for the wounded
I took my share and the crew got the rest
And on into port we then bounded

Life has many pleasures, and we had our fill
Of food and of wenches and beer
When we'd tired of the port or had drunken it dry
The time to set sail would come near

And for what?
We heeded no law
Made other men suffer so we could have more
And for what?
We lived every day
With the noose of the hangman a hair's breadth away
And If I could go back and make my amends
I'd make all those mistakes again
I'd kill every last one of those bastards, my friend

Oh I have seen wonders you'd never have dreamed,
And taken my fair share, I must say
Holds full of booty I happily seized
From crews who would not see a new day

Spanish gold came and went, gem stones got sold,
But I knew more lay on the horizon,
Yet the beer was too good and the gals were too sweet
And now in my old age it's gone

These memories were bought with the lives of good men
A price that I paid without scruple
So many souls suffered so I could get drunk
And swagger from brothel to brothel

And for what?
It's been many years
Yet the screams of the vanquished still ring in my ears
And for what?
I've blood on my hands
I wait for my place in the halls of the damned
And If I could go back and make my amends
