Before K.O. Coliseum debuts on the PBE server later this week, Riot has released a little sneak peek into what is sure to be the most epic anime battle in TFT history!
Set Mechanic: Power Ups
At the start of every game, each player gets a single Power Snax to give to any unit they like. Consuming a Power Snax unlocks an armoury of special power ups tailored just for that unit, and you'll have about half a minute to choose between the three options.
Players will get one other Power Snax later on in the game—halfway through Stage 3—-which they can give to the same unit or a second one, so that you can reach the peak of two powered up units at once. Some power ups are two-tiered, so you could potentially select the same power up twice for one single unit to get an amplified effect.
Power ups don’t have to be forever! You can remove a power up by using a new item called a Power Remover. You get one Power Remover each stage. You can also sell the unit to regain the used Poro Snax.
Below, we’ve listed a few Power Up options, just as an example:
All Out
Star Student
Round Two
At combat start, immediately go ALL OUT and gain 20% Damage Reduction and 50% Attack Damage. No longer decay health while ALL OUT.
Gain bonus Health and 60% additional Potential while Battle Academia is active
(1) 200 Health, 60% Potential
(2) 300 Health, 60% Potential
On death, summon a Training Dummy equipped with the same items.
Prismatic Trait Update
As briefly mentioned in the Cyber City Learnings article, Riot is taking a new approach to Prismatic Traits starting with K.O. Coliseum.
