I always learned that if you believe in a certain "good" or "bad", that you should always follow the "good". Especially when other people are being (or were) "bad". If bad behaviour gets punished by bad behaviour, all we get is an endless cycle of bad behaviour. If bad behaviour gets overwhelmed by good behaviour, bad behaviour has to adapt :P

I do realise that it wasn't the nicest or maturest thing to do, but I can't really say that it didn't feel good. I can't really feel too bad for it because they caused depression (maybe not the most depressive depression but I did cut myself and I did vomit a lot because I felt bad for eating), low self-esteem (which caused me to have almost no irl friends, though for the last 2 years I've gained pretty good amount of good friends).
But yes, a bad thing to do, especially since I know what that can do to people.

Mh, adding my own salt to this conversation, I'm an avid follower of the "an eye for an eye" thesis.
In this case, maybe letting them see that it was hurtful to mock him might have been beneficial, so it was probably not a complete disaster. The key is not being too petty about their misdemeanor, and that you're probably a different person now, so you couldn't care less about what happned to these rather nasty fellows.
I'd talk about what made me happy for the last few days, but that'd just sink the mood of you people, so I'll ratherfully keep it to myself.
