It's been pretty rough the last few years. When my mom was diagnosed, she was seriously ill. Her white blood cell count was more than 100 times higher than it should have been.
Other than the side effects caused by her meds, she's mostly fine. CML is much more treatable than it used to be. You take oral chemo daily and, while you may have to take it for the rest of your life, you won't generally relapse if they caught it soon enough (though sometimes it mutates and the medication stops working). Though the meds kill your immune system and often have terrible side effects. Currently, she's undetectable, meaning if she went to a doctor they wouldn't be able to tell anything was wrong at all, which is really good. If you're undetectable for long enough they take you off the meds and see if your body starts overproducing mutated white blood cells again, since it's possible to be cured of CML.

if you are well prepared(know stuff about the company, know what reasons you have to want this exact job in this company and some other stuff) then you should have nothing to fear ;)
