I can't improve. Simply put, I'm not seeing myself getting any better. In fact, I'm watching myself become worst at a rapid rate (an almost per-game basis). I used to be the kind of person who thought I was the best, that I deserved a much higher rating then I have. I thought that I could easily land in Gold/Platinum status where I was.

I'm obviously nothing like that anymore. I know damn well were I belong, which is exactly where I am. I need to get better but I simply am not. I think part of it is that I am playing with the wrong group of people. They often complain about things that aren't worth complaining, and have a very bronze mentality on the game. Half of them don't really care about league that much (Which is fine, but I do) and the other half care a lot yet don't try to improve.

The other issue was that I try too hard to keep a wide champion pool. Recently, I have done my best to only play a few champions except every blue moon when I want to try some things. I simply play too many people. My ranked champions played in Season 3 go: Aatrox, Ahri, Akali, Alistar, Corki, Elise, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Heimerdinger, Janna, Katarina, Kha'Zix, Leona, Lucian, Morgana, Nasus, Pantheon, Riven, Shen, Shyvana, Singed, Sona, Soraka, Taric, Thresh, Trundle, Twisted Fate, Udyr, Varus, Vi, Vladimir, Wukong, Zac. I can honestly say that is too much. The thing is, though, I've tried to cut down on that. I have started to try to come up with a small, specific champion pool.

I take this game extremely seriously. I am very self-critical and an calm/collective person. I love this game more than anything else I do in my life, so watching myself fall off so badly is a very frustrating sight. I have goals, and they may seem ridiculous to some, but anything is possible with practice. I just need help improving my play. Any tips and help I can get with simply getting better. Any mistakes I'm making outside of the game or things I should be doing. All help would be greatly appreciated.

It's bot as bad as you think.

1) You acknowledge what you did wrong

2) Your builds are a bit wonky. BoM Thresh, Wit's End Shen (damn I haven't seen that in a long *** time), Hurricane Jinx, Wriggles Olaf, etc.

3) Most of those champions you mentioned aren't that great and you should narrow it down to 2-3 champions per role that you can play very well with MAYBE more for a role that is your 'main' one. By only playing a couple of champions that are good right now, you'll learn a lot.

4) You acknowledge what you did wrong, so learn from that! You learn what to do in certain situations with certain champions by playing them - next time you'll know that Olaf is weaker than Kat at level 3-4, and know to back off instead of committing, stuff like that. That's also why it's best to play only a small number of champions a lot.

And play more ranked, not normals. Ranked is without a doubt the place to improve yourself so play as much of it as you can, even if you just lose and lose and lose (although I caution you to have some confidence in your abilities before you start) because you'll get better this way.

Jesus promised the end of all wicked people.
Odin promised the end of all ice giants.
I don't see many ice giants around.

My builds are very "on-the-fly". I often don't have solid builds and I find myself either building bad items or building things that aren't really needed for that game even though it seems like a good idea at the time.

in 8 of your ten games you had double digit deaths

thats bad try to die less

this is normally a low elo thing to do that a lot of people think is the right thing and basically, if you see someone dying DO NOT go back to save them, most of the time it will end with you dying yourself

youre dying a lot i assume because of poor positioning, as olaf you want to run in and perma slow a carry IF YOURE AHEAD, if youre behind try to just peel for your carry

as thresh you dont always have to press Q after you land a Q, a lot of thresh players ive seen land Q's and press Q to get into range after every hook

also your builds are kind of questionable

You die WAY too much.

In your post you still blame the people you play with. You aren't getting better because you have low game knowledge and bad mechanics those are literally the only two factors that contribute to your 'skill level'. Keep in mind 5 or more deaths in a game in my opinion is FEEDING. Cut down on your deaths by learning what your particular champion can take damage wise and backing off before you take lethal damage. Calling a 6-12 game 'decent' makes me fear that you have a VERY long way to go.

Edit: Your builds are trash too, I'm not going to go digging but I bet your runes and masteries are janky as well.

Basically: die too much, weird builds, CS like ****.

Limit your champion pool, learn to CS (bot games are cool for this), learn when/how to (dis)engage properly to stop the feeding. If you manage these simple 3 things, you should see fast improvements.

As for the on-the-fly builds, do it after you are comfortable and very knowledgeable with the champion. Until then, follow a good guide.

I think I came off on the wrong foot with that part. It isn't them doing good or bad, it's me picking up there mentality. I'm worried that playing with people who are constantly raging at teammates or not caring about the game may be rubbing off onto my personality and mental state when I play.

Honestly, focusing on not dying is what got my playstyle to new levels. Before that I was frustrated. Now that I avoid death like the plague (hurhur), I am doing MUCH better.
Dont get me wrong, it doesnt mean im playing like a *****, but I do weigh my decisions and will back off if I know its a 90% chance of death.

For me atm, my goal is make SURE my deaths stay below 5.
0-3 is the goal zone for me. 4-5 im not happy with. Above that and I am pissed.

Improvement over 10 games isn't very noticeable. So here is what you do: you play more games. Let's say you have 50 or so games down the road, look at your game stats and compare that batch to this one. Mark your improvements and repeat.

From this batch you. Need to up your CSing. Your numbers for everyone besides Thresh and Karthus are a way to low, and you can easily do better with Karthus anyway.
