depends on how you play, ultimately.
There will be lots of scrubs & noobs in your new placement series.
If you think you can carry & steamroll, you definitely should play.
The only problem is that there may (will) likely be some noobs on your team too. If you're like someone like me, who plays supports / junglers, you're better off waiting. Supports and junglers can make it a heck of a lot easier to carry your team, but they still require some iota of common sense, which many of the people you'll be playing with will lack

If you're impatient like me for this kind of thing, do it but I think that if you wait a couple of weeks you might have more success because the rush will be almost over by then and it will be less hectic

Thanks to FatelBlade, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, TheNamelessBard, GrandmasterD, aviseras and koksei for the awesome signatures
Technically, if you're sub-1200 Elo, it should be better to rush into it, if you're over 1200 elo, it's better to wait a bit.
For example, as someone who was more or less 2000 elo, my elo has been reset to 1600, more or less. If I play right now, I'll be playing against other 2000 elo players who got reset to 1600 elo. AKA, against people who are meant to be just as good as me. Whereas if I wait a month, I'll be playing against people who are ACTUALLY 1600 elo level. So it'll be easier for me to carry myself through placements.
But if you're sub-1200 elo, you're going to be reset up instead of down. Say you're 800 elo and get reset to 1000 elo. If you play right away, you'll be playing against people who were also 800 elo and reset to there. If you wait a month, you'll be playing against people who are ACTUALLY 1000 elo level, and all your enemies are likely to be better than you, making it harder for you to win as you'll be a liability for your team and usually unable to carry.
What I said isn't certain to happen, but it is what's most likely to happen. If you play against people who are worse than you, you are more likely to win. If you play against people who are equally good as you or better, you're more likely to lose.
So tl;dr, bronze? Rush them, you might get lucky, and at that point it will be easier to win than in say, a month. Gold+? Wait a bit if you're willing to be patient. You'll have it easier to win more placements at that point.

I rushed it, but thats just me. I always rush into things. I think I also had like...1.5k rank games i season 3? Idk. It depends on what you can do. If you have had a lot of exp playing the game, and you know you can super carry people in your roles then do it. I carry well with mid and adc atm. Sometimes jungle, little bit top. and on the rare occasion support. Atm (but this could just be me), i did not get trolls... So idk. Also skill level of players are really weak atm. Easy to steamroll if you play carries your really good at it. But that could just be me
I think it would be more beneficial to wait it out, so far there are a lot of problems with higher ranked people being placed much lower than they should be because of trolls etc.
There are even cases in which Diamond players would be put into Silver, but because their MMR is high from last season they have to Play vs. other Diamonds (Placed into Plat) for a measly 25 LP in Silver 1.
I'm probably going to wait a little bit before I play ranked.

I also read opisite some said there will be more noobs so if your good play now is best time since you should rise to top and carry. What do you think?
