there are rules where you cannot use items outside of battle (which is what i like to do personally) but some people like to be a little less hardcore than me, its basically an even harder version of the nuzlocke to not use items outside of battle
also i like to keep the battle mode in Set so i cant change pokemon when the other pokemon faints

yea I wanted people to still have fun, hence why I didn't want those rules enforced. However, I may enforce a "you may only use the pokemon center in each town X times" rule to keep people from endlessly grinding around the cities.

Oh lol. If I could use items and not have battle mode as Set then it would be a breeze.
Shouldn't it be a rule that you have to set battle mode to Set?

Charmander's OP in FRLG. You'd THINK you'd have a hard time clearing the first few gyms...and then you realize that he learns Metal Claw at Lv11, which obliterates the rock gym.
