Actually, no. Astrolia has a graph which shows that the higher tier you are, the more likely Last Whisper is seen to be purchased as an ADC. There's a direct correlation from being higher tier and likelihood of purchasing Last Whisper.

So yes, I'd actually say a vote does depend on that.

@sirell: I didn't say this anywhere. Literally if you read my guide in the description I said LW is just as good, I use to start out with TBC but I don't anymore. Regardless although TBC is not as effective as the LW (in most cases) I don't like to be repetitive of other guides and like to give an alternative. My guide isn't rated no.1 so noone is going to be the first to read my guide to hear the same things over that hiden has said. But downvoting on the 1% you don't like is really a bit much don't you think?

@fat_fast: I really really have to disagree with you here. I went through a whole topic of when and when not to buy this item. I have been raged + flamed in many games when i've bought it (not so much recently i've been building banshee's veil), and I have made them eat their words. It Has won me games have rocket launcher mode in 2.5 Attack speed with that AoE damage, but can agree with you when you say the circumstances are really limited to when it can be more effective than say a GA.

@Vynertje: Wow you just really say it as it is. You'll realise my second build is the standard "BT, Boots, Stattik, IE, item x(defensive item), LW(in cases LW then IE). Once again as I mentioned just before to sirell^ about repetition and how it's not the top guide so noone will look here for just the same info told by hiden. But regardless what you've mentioned is in there, I just offer alternative builds. 'The rest of it sucks', so my information regarding skill shots, why I pick the items I do, what to do in teamfights, matchups, supports, synergy/counters is all rubbish? You're the really first to say that.

Regardless thanks for the time you used to 'read' through my guide and share your input. I'd also like you to reconsider your votes and only if you think it's really downright horrible to downvote it (50%+ worse). I put a lot of effort into it and hopefully with the information I just gave you, you will reconsider.

P.S after deliberation of TBC + LW, I put LW as part of the core build and TBC as a different viable item.

If there is anything else in particular you think that makes this a bad guide let me know and i'll consider changing it. I do want this guide to be overall beneficial for the community and your votes of approval give me a tick of approval.

I also downvoted. Pretty much on the basis that you say Black Cleaver > Last Whisper.

I've tried ruan before, it's devastating but I've to admit it's more of a troll item. It's extremely effective in ARAM, where enemies are forced to be clustered and the bonus lifesteal is incredible. Summoner rift? Not so much, so let's just say viable?

Oh and BC is inferior to LW, for jinx's W and R deals damage in a single charge, you will need the immediate pierce to properly execute stuffs. BC is sub-optimal on any ADC except for Urgot, and even he get both LW and BC.

O god I just noticed this guide and man, it really is bad.

The only good part is Q max and BT first, after that it flat out sucks.

First, go BT into some kind of attack speed (like a Zeal). After that you can go anything but LW is the most recommended (only go IE if the enemy has 0 armor which is unlikely). Runaan's is no alternative to anything and black cleaver is a big no.

I believe we've already had the discussion between our guides.

I told you the reason I thought of unique and individual BO's is because I don't want it to be a copy of yours. LW is listed in my guide as a perfectly suitable replacement. In tf's you will always be focusing whoever comes charging at you, you will easily get the stacks due to the attack speed passive. If no one focuses you, you're free to AoE damage the enemy giving them all stacks for your other teammates to shred through. I have mentioned all this in my guide between when choosing the LW and TBC you would have realized this if you actually read it..

In most cases I like to have a non squishy adc, the extra bit of health helps, and the cd isn't bad to boot. Although I agree and always have in saying LW better than TBC in most cases, but I don't want to bring up yet again that I don't like having a practically 'copy' printed version of another guide.

I have no clue who actually has down voted this guide (x2) but i'm sure they have no legit reasons to downvote it hence no comments. My guide is fresh, original and has heaps of difference to any other guide. I don't know why you keep going through my guide and looking for reasons to give others to downvote it, however if for some reason you are kindly just trying to help me with your spare time then thanks, but as I mentioned if you cared to read my guide you'll see the list of reasons I previously mentioned.

Never build Black Cleaver instead of Last Whisper.

It´s not true at all that Last Whisper gives 'more damage' than Black Cleaver only when the enemy has more than 100 armor.

There are only two cases where it is worth to purchase Black Cleaver.

Last Whisper > Black Cleaver
95% of the time


1. You got a heavy AD-Team like: Zed-Mid, Yasuo-Top and Kha'Zix-Jungle. Then they will provite of the Black Cleaver passive.

2. Secondly, as a Ranged AD carry, you are forced to switch targets in a teamfight in order to stay far from the fight and to stay alive. You will probably never get 4 full autoattacks on the same target. Therefore, Last Whisper is much more efficient.

There are plenty other reasons why Last Whisper is better than Black Cleaver like physical damage spells. You should never get Black Cleaver on Jinx or other ADC´s. You won't be able to get your stacks on the enemy and even if you do, your target will probably be already dead/gone away from you before you can use your spells.

Black Cleaver is for tanky DPS who have little room to fit damage, AS and armor pen in their build with all their defensive items, and allows their team to deal more damage to the target, including the carry.

Just want to say. Any other high elo player will consistent with my opinion.
