So after seeing so many signatures on MOBAFire, I really wanted to try and make one myself. To be completely honest, I've never even used photoshop before. So (probably completely biased here, haha) I think these look pretty awesome <3
Feel free to give me any tips, but if you do I probably won't even understand it lol. These were made from me just following tutorials word for word or just me messing around and trying to make it look pretty :3
Edit: I've been adding new images to my album, so you can see my work as I learn more about how to make sigs. If I get good enough, I might even start a Graphic Café!

This guy - donnie, makes a hilarious how to do photoshop video series. It's a little old school, but i like watching it because it's quite humorous
This was the very first video i watched when i started making sigs it teaches to use renders and make your own backgrounds for images, well.

Here is a video I uploaded of a kayle sig I made, it is a speed art so it would be hard to learn from it but you could always pause it in a particular place and try to find out what i did with it :)
Also, look up a guy named BakaArt on youtube, hes got some good stuff
I suggest watching a lot of videos on sigs, it really helped me when i started!
Also reccomend downloading tons of "fractals" and "c4ds" once you get to know a little more of photoshop!
Good luck to you Emi! :)
Thank you! :D Do you have any particular videos you can recommend? I searched up some stuff in Youtube and a whole bunch of different things popped up. I have no idea where to start... o_O

I think this is the one I use the most - it has some cool nebulas
Apply them and put them to either lighten or screen
also, this:

We have a tutorial corner?! Dangg that would help a lot, haha. I'll check it out as soon as I get the change :D

So, I made a text layer in the IMG 1
in IMG 2 I made another layer on top of it and filled it with dark purple/black
in IMG 3 I pressed CTRL + ALT + G (while the filled layer was selected) and now it is clipped to it. Hopefully you understand.
EDIT: In IMG 3 you can see the little arrow that appeared next to the layer name. It means it is clipped to the layer below.
Looks solid. Nothing flashy but good looking.
Thank youu~ :D
1st one:
I'd make the render (
2nd one:
Same thing with the render over here too, it's quite small. Also, I would probably use hue/saturation adjustment layer on top of the background layers to make them look a bit more... purpleish
3rd one:
I'd probably make the border more visible. I usually do the border like this:
Select 3px from each side of the art
make a new layer, use gradient tool (pick colors from the background/render)
copy the background layers (other gibberish such as fractals and c4ds)
merge them
but it on clipping mask (clipped to the gradient border layer)
set the layer style to Linear/Color dodge
I... have no idea what half of those terms mean :( I'll do know about the render stuff though ^_^ I'll try out some things and keep that in mind. I'm using a really old version of Photoshop cause my parents don't want to spend money to get the newer, updated ones, so I don't know how to change the saturation and stuff...
I'll also try out the new way to do the border ^_^ But how do you put something on a clipping mask though? What is a clipping mask, for that matter...
