Greetings. Currently I'm working on my Thresh guide and I'm still learning how to use BBCode. After doing my second guide I wasn't sure if the information was valid enough so I need your opinion, is the Pros n Cons good?
Credits to jhoijhoi for the coding

Pros

+ Strong AutoAttacks
+ Nice shield and escape
+ Can intiate fights
+ Will be automatically tanky
Thresh has good damage on his AutoAttacks with Flay. If he can land a Death Sentence the Marksman and Thresh can land some AAs which will deal a nice amount of damage to the enemy champion. He can save a ally from a deadly situation with his Dark Passage which will both shield the ally and give them a oppurtunity to dash to him over a wall to safety. Thresh is a good intiator with his Crowd Control and with is tankiness.

Cons

-High cooldowns
-Takes time to practice
-Needs items to be effective
-Has a long windup time on Death Sentence which make it easy to dodge
His cooldowns are pretty high without some Cooldown Reduction so you'll have to wait for the right moment to use them. He isn't the easiest champion to play, you've to know when to use your Dark Passage and your The Box correctly. Thresh is slow and quite squishy early game so you need to buy items to solve these to problems. His Death Sentence can be hard to land because enemies can dodge it easily. Don't make it to obvs that you'll hook them.

I couldn't figure out how I should write it, I'll change these two things in my guide. But how is the content?

Personally I'd prefer using Basic Attacks or Standard Attacks as autoattacking refers to just stand next to the enemy and let the champion attack it (hence the word 'auto').

On topic. I dislike many of the pros and cons you've given.
  • Thresh doesn't have strong basic attacks. His base AD and range are low. The passive on Flay empoweres them but that has a wind up time and it'll still be pretty **** if you don't max Flay.
  • Thresh doesn't have an escape, he offers an escape to his allies. Be precise.
  • Just free armour from Damnation won't make him tanky. Ever played AP/AD Thresh? I sure wasn't tanky.
  • High skill ceiling/cap, difficult to master, etc. would all be better than Takes time to practice. I mean, everything takes time to practice.
  • Thresh is a pure support, which means that he's useful even without items.

I agree with you. So many words to use, and so many ways to use them. As a no native English speaker these kind of thing are very confusing for me but I get your point. I'll spend alot of time with this guide so I got enough time.

Feeling kind of dumb for missing out these things, well, you learn from your mistakes. Changing it right now, thanks for the response.

No problem, and hey, it's not as bad as 90% of the guides here which list "Does A Lot Of Damage" as a pro.

Changed my pros to + A great intiator, nice shield/escape for allies, stong cc and the ability to catch a enemy off guard. My new cons are high cooldowns, death sentence are easy to dodge, vulnerable in the early game to AD without souls and items and slow windup time on his basic attacks.

Sounds a lot better.

When I wrote the chapter I wasn't focusing him as a Support for some reason, and the amount of guides that doesn't have any single BBCoding in it is to damn high ( I got some problem that everything have to be perfect, autism ftw. ).
