Yesterday, three teams from Riot did a Q&A about Braum: Art and Sound, Creative and Release Campaign, and Gameplay. Below is a few of the more interesting responses.

Art and Sound

When asked about a Gentleman Braum skin, Riot's The Bravo Ray responded with:

So, we might end up see that skin in the future. I think it would be an awesome skin! What would you do with the shield?

When asked about the length of time from sketches to finished product and if Braum was based on community suggestions, Riot's The Bravo Ray said this:

When asked about the broken ram horn on the otherwise unbreakable shield, The Bravo Ray said:

Creative

When asked about Braum's relationship with Tryndamere and how he feels about Sejuani, Riot Opeli said:

Poros and Braum from Riot Opeli:

When asked why Braum had a shield and not an offensive weapon like other Freljordians, Riot Opeli said:

Gameplay

When asked if there is a chance that Braum could go somewhere else on the map other than support, RiotWrekz said:

When asked to describe the difficulty of the champion, RiotRepertoir said:

When asked how viable they thought Braum will be in the current support meta with Thresh, Leona and Morgana, RiotWreckz answered:

When asked how Braum's shield interacts with things like Sona's Crescendo, RiotRepertoir answered:

When asked what Braum's teammates need to do to bring out the most in his kit, RiotRepertoir replied:

"From playing lots of Braum and playing with lots of Braum over the last several months, the biggest things I have found to being successful in a team with Braum are utilizing his passive and his E.

You can turn a lot of fights around by standing your ground with Braum and basic attacking the enemy, as Braum's passive will result in a stun on the enemy after 4 total basic attacks.

Additionally, Unbreakable (E) will redirect damage targeted at allies to Braum, so even if you are low on health, working in tandem with Braum while his E is up will make you deceptively hard to kill."

So what do you think about Braum? Do you think he will be a top-tier support? Is he too self-less to work in solo-queue?

For the Gentleman Braum I could definitely see the shield being a suitcase or huge pocketwatch of some sorts.

I feel that Braum will be a very good support, especially so in solo queue as long as you're in the right comp and your mates know how to synergize with you, once players get used to his passive and start utilizing it in teamfights it's going to be a major turnaround I bet
Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the epic sigpic

Too situational support to be top tier. Abilities and initiations require more communication than other supports may need and as we know, communication is hard to achieve in soloQ.
