Might be cause the lower score has better accuracy and a higher combo for example.

yeah I've lost pp before by beating my highscore on a map but getting lower accuracy (hidden sucks and accuracy is really important for pp)

I did try out Osu, but since I didn't do well I quit (When something goes hard, give up - Me). I want to get better, but it's just that it takes effort :c

Check this out. Just start at the top and move to the next map when you can beat one.

The one you linked is for complete beginners that play the game for the first time. Mine is for transitioning from normla to hard difficulty :)
