That's true but aby scepter lowers mr, it does, t penetrate it. Theoretically if every team member bougth an aby scepter each the other team would get negative mr as long as they haven't bought any additional mr.
Though while writing this I remembered that mr reduction will proc before penetration.
And OnT: I would change aby scepter for a rylai's crystal scepter since you will mostly not be close enough for aby scepter's reduction to do any good. Also rylai's gives more AP, gives nice HP and an annoying slow on your blind and shrooms.

You can bring them down to negative MR and Armor, causing them to take increased damage but Abyssal's aura is unique so they won't stack, you'd need someone like Amumu or Fiddle to bring them to negative MR.
Teemo is bad with Abyssal because it's an aura, so it won't lower their MR unless they're standing next to you.
Just get a Morello or Nashor's instead.
Well part of the reason why I had went with abyssal scepter was because of the magic resistance and helps my teammates who deal magic damage. But I hadn't known that the range was so short. Seeing how that is, I am thinking of Athene's Holy Grail. Still gives me a decent amount of ap and magic resist, some good cdr and mana regen due to it's effect. Like I said, his mushrooms are part of the build concept.
Sooo.... Why go for MR as Standard then?
If you simply want to harass your opponents with shrooms you only need to buff dmg on your end?

Penetration from the first 2 items always applies, Liandry's effect works pretty well with your autoattack/shroom DoT and Zhonya's + Liandry's HP is enough defense for that nimble little *****.
Morello > Athen's in this case.
Too much Mana you don't use, no need too waste money on MR + more AP, nice little effect and a bit cheaper.

Sorcery, Butcher, Mental Power, Arcane Mastery, Executioner, Archmage, Spell Weaving, Arcane Blade, Devastating Strikes, Havoc, Fleet of Foot, Scout, Summoner's Insight, Alchemist and Culinary Master.
I used lol builder in google play store for this and it comes out to:
647 AP, 41% magic penetration followed by 45(65 if near me due to abyssal scepter), 2154 hp, 135 armor and 75 magic resist.
I used a slightly different build in twisted tree and it worked alright, but someone commented I focused too much on penetration. So I would like to know if this is a good build or needs to be modified. Thanks in advanced.
