It depends on what your team needs. If you wanna outpoke the enemy badly and try to push for turrets all the time, AP Nida is definitly better. If you rather wanna be in a fight because your team has a strong engage, go for AD Nida. The best part about her is that you can adjust your playstyle on what your team needs.
Also, AD nida is better top lane as you can easier trade there with your opponent. You also got the range advantage over your opponen most of the time, so you can easily throw out ranged AA to chunk your enemy down. In the mid lane, this is way harder to do, using your spears with AP for damage is better then.
Finally, pick either AD or AP Nida depending on what your team needs, more physical dmg dealers? AP Nida. More magic damage dealers? AD Nida. Beeing flexible in that makes her never a bad pick.

Thx for the input and my champion Pool is actually decently large, Nidalee is my main pick but For mid i have Nid, Kayle, Katarina, for top Shyvana, Riven Jungle Vi and Udyr (Or Shyvana/Riven) Adc Jinx, Sivir, Ashe then just Zyra support.
Thx for the input and yea i should have made it a little clearer, I play Nid Mid lane AP now but always see her AD Top. i suppose you made the end all be all point in it mattering what my team needs. So ill work on a separate build for the AD bruiser that way if my team needs the AP ill play mid or AD top. Her split push does seem like it might be one of the best i have seen where as Mid could be tough paired against like a Syndra or Leblanc. I guess i will just have to do the lab work. But man do i love the full AP spears haha

Don't play ranked right when you hit level 30. I've made that mistake, and it took me forever to really work myself out of ELO hell.
Onto the actual question: Is she still viable? She is, provided that you can land your skillshots

Also, if you're good enough with a champ you can hit High Gold - Low Plat with him, be it AP Poppy mid or something overused like Zed. The question however, is that you need to know how to play your champs successfully against the top picks, against your counters and have enough game knowledge and control to carry up to four idiots against up to five idiots.
Nidalee can be pretty good at lower elos because they tend to split up a lot and chase through the jungle for low health targets, as well as ward less/ward in the same locations. Nidalee picks up isolated targets pretty well.
How are you building her? Runes, Masteries?
