I remember when applying for my first few jobs, I applied to a dozen places, and heard back from one of them.
Step 1: Mail them with stuff
Step 2: Wait 2 weeks
Step 3a: They didnt reply? Call them
Step 3b: They replied and didn't want you? Swear at the screen while you read the mail and then go to step 5.
Step 3c: They want you to come? Go ahead and go
Step 4aa: Keep calling them until you reach a person. Ask if they received your mail and what they think about it. If they decline your job request, say kindly bye and close the call. Swear at the phone and throw it through the window.
Step 4ab: If they accept, go ahead prepare the meeting
Step 4ac: If no one answers no matter how much you try, go try all the phone numbers of the website, mail all the email adresses on the website until they give you proper contact data. Then go to step 5.
Step 5: Failed anything above? Repeat process for each job you apply for.
Step 6: Can't find anything within a year? Repeat process for the same companies you already had once contact with.
Do all this, make the contact person of the company miserable and they will reply, I am sure of it :P

Eggs are cheap. Get eggs and add them to the ramen. Worth.
Green onions too, if you're into that kind of thing.
