Do you play osu?
I think I need to stop looking at the percentage while I'm playing. I glance up there the first time and have like 90-something percent and then proceed to bomb it because I get really tense x.x

especially in the second one you can see where my performance drops.

Impossible. I have tried to quit it too but I just can't :/

"A person giving you advice isn't perfect and has their own shortcomings but they may give you the piece that you're missing."
I'm gonna put a sticky note on my screen so I physically cannot look at it. I'll tell you how that goes.
EDIT: only missed three and my score was significantly higher than the last time I played through this beatmap.
profit?

I taught myself not to look anywhere other than where you actually play and it is defenitly a pretty substantial advantage. I also disabled the scoreboard that is on the left while playing.

Thanks to IPodPulse for this <3^
Yea, I physically covered the thing because I'm the kind of person who CANNOT not look, I still look even knowing it's covered but there's nothing there so it doesn't do much. The one on the left doesn't seem to bother me near as much.
EDIT: yep. 7% increase in score (I hate this song, the actual music being played, and that doesn't help anything) and a lot less errors than the last time I played this beatmap. Definitely helping.

It took me a while to learn. Shouldn't it theoretically work to get used to playing with the score covered until you don't look at it anymore and then remove whatever you are using to cover it?

So I started with this and felt like going for rank 11111:

I played like 1 or two maps and my rank increased slightly:

I play more maps but my rank didn't increase anymore, so I logged off. When I started the game, I saw this rank:

qqqqqqqqqqqq
