Essentially, yes. Once you have the actual video file you're free to **** with it whatever which way you want.
You'll need to convert that replay :)
Just watch it, and record that.
Editing-wise, I generally use Sony Vegas Pro 10. It's very easy to use once you pick it up.
If you're looking for something a little more *boom* then i'd suggest After Effects.
