isn't actually considered a "greedy choice", yes it doesn't do anything for your team, however is one of the squishiest supports in the game so any that adds survivability for her is a good option especially as you don't have to buy so you use the money on more damage or utility items. If you're dead, you won't be able to contribute to the team, helps prevent that.

While obviously will always be the best summoner to take as a support as the kill pressure is excellent, but is often recommended on Lux and other enchanters like by resonable amount of high tier players and channels that make guides. Ultimately it's up to personal perference. Keep working on the guide ♥

You're not wrong. isn't a "bad" choice by any means. I just normally consider the fact that Lux is supposed to be an artillery mage. Her spells have exceptional range and, in general, she really shouldn't be in the firing line in the first place. Because of this, I actually like bringing and letting my ADC take something else. Similarly, I usually don't even buy if I know the enemy team won't be able to reach me effectively in a fight. Paired with the fact that some ADCs like to flame you for "being different", it just oftentimes felt like the wrong choice for me.

Now that being said, there are plenty of assassins, people with dashes, lovers, etc. that are nigh-impossible for Lux to avoid and will instantly kill her thus, in those situations, and other spells would actually be a strong choice. Normally when I play Soraka, for example, I sometimes like bringing simply because it actually makes it efficient for me to weave in and out of a fight healing the front lines without being a viable target.

At the end of the day, you're not wrong tho and is a strong choice depending on the enemy team. I guess I'll try bringing it into more matchups where I normally explode and seeing how it goes.

What you mean with "minor threats"? Are we supposed to attack them or shall we avoid but less than the major threats?

I considered minor threats to be matchups Lux is at a slight advantage.
In general, Lux is good in laning phase because she has great range and a 2-Second Root. If she gets hard CCed, however, her lack of mobility and health makes her pretty vulnerable.
The enemies in "Minor Threats" typically either have poor CC or easily-avoidable CC making Lux at an advantage with good play.
