On that note, I strongly disagree with going more than 2 offensive items either way. Aatrox still should be tanky to be effective.

I agree with Vynertje, Shiv doesn't really make sense. I'm also not really a fan of Berserker Greaves. Also I'm pretty sure you start Q on jungle for the bonus attack speed

I'll try this out in a ranked game a little later today (as this guide is intended for Ranked) and see if it works out. If it works better, I'll definitely update the guide.

The Attack Speed from both items as well as the occasional critical strike is helpful in trades. The movement speed overall on both items helps Aatrox. He's relatively slow, and as explained several times, has trouble sticking to his opponents.
