Hey guys and girls I am R3NZ and this is my first ever MOBAfire guide. I hope you like it. I have been playing LoL since Christmas 2011 and I play champions all champions but, one that I fell in love with was Akali. First because I though she was hot but then because she had so many play styles I could never get bored. But in this guide I will just be going over AP Akali which, in my opinion, is the best way to play her.

+Can deal a lot of damage early game with her Q ability
+Has a great gap closer with ult
+Low cool down on all her moves
+All her skins are sexy

Cons
+Squishy early game
+Gets focused when doing high damage with little sustain
+No great CC (has a slight slow)

I have no opinion on runes. Do whatever you like. Sorry but runes only help her late game, not much can be done with her early game.

Start with Boots of Speed and 3 x Pots. This is good for speed and some sustain. If you are new or feel squishy get a Dorans Shield.

On your first buy, get a Hextech Revolver and Mercury Treads. Some AP, magic resist and tenacity. Good around buy.

Then comes for core items, On your second buy or if you die ( which you should try to avoid ) you should get a Rylais Crystal Scepter and then Hextech Gunblade if you have enough money if not, get it next time.

Then save up for Needlessly Large Rod and Blasting Wand. These both give you AP and build into your Deathcap which should be purchased as soon as possible.

The start getting a few items for defense but still adding to your AP. Zhonyas Hourglass is a good item for this and will get rid of some of your natural squishiness. Also the active is nice.

Now rush into a Guarding Angel. With this you will have decent levels of Magic resist and armour and the revive that it gives you.

If you get this far into the game and haven't been targeted like crazy, get another Rabadons Deathcap. Crazy AP now and your damage output will be second to none. If you are getting targeted get another Zhonyas Hourglass, still gives your AP but also adds some defensive things too. You could also get some magic penetration.

Pretty standard. Flash for getting out of sticky situations and ignite to finish that lucky teemo off!

Q is your main damage output and max it first.
W is your only form of CC (a mild slow and stealth)
E is only for farming. Pretty low damage but can be used in team fights to hit all enemies.
R is another high damage move and is used in combination with your Q. The combo should be Q - R - Auto attack to consume the Q.
