Actually, upon suggestion from a friend, I've recently taken up doran's shield as my starting item. Sure, you don't get the little bit of spellvamp, but it adds a lot more reliable HP/5 than you'll get from your spells. So far it's been working pretty well, just thought I'd suggest that as an option. If I didn't go with doran's shield, I would definitely take doran's blade or boots and pots.

I would say that Boot3 pot would be as equally as strong as the Doran's blade imo because with Dorans i may be losing the slight movement speed but gaining 100 hp while keeping the Magic Pen marks can give the same survivability. But imo both options are equally good imo. Doran's blade being my favourite.

I agree with the Mejai's part but I do tend to feel it gives a boost , I will probably add a Chapter containing another option.

I feel like there are some flaws in your build. First, you decide to get Doran's Blade. Although you get it to take your second Twin Discipline, Boots 3pot are a stronger item combo for Akali. I suggest you drop some Marks for +Phys Dmg and take points into Offense. My rune set up looks a lot like Westrice's.

Another thing is Hextech Revolver is for lane sustain. As Akali, you should be winning your lane and to keep pressing your lane dominance with Sheen early on. The burst is just astounding.

Mejai's Soulstealer is just skeptical overall. Mejai's stacks are so easy to lose, regardless of what champion you are.

@PsiGuard I think that is actually a very good idea and might add that to the guide as another option or maybe the Main Seal. Thanks for the advice.

You have a very strong build (almost identical to the way I build her), but I'm wondering what the importance of potency seals is. 9 flat ability power seals give roughly 5 AP at level one, which is entirely unnecessary for proccing your passive anyway. Since you've already taken Nimbleness in the defensive tree, why not opt for the stronger dodge seals instead. I would think dodge chance has a much bigger impact all game compared to 5 more AP at level one.
