So for this guide I will show you how I play Akali.

Akali is an assassin style character who relies on taking out her targets quickly with a lot of burst damage. Akali is pretty hard to find in team fights as she usually sits in her Twilight shroud or is jumping around the place. At level 6 or so you can find yourself taking 1/4 to 1/2 of your opponents HP with a full Mark of the Assassin trigger. Her Crescent slash and Mark of the Assassin skills are great for farming to get a lot of gold which Akali really needs so she can kick *** late game.

Pros:
-Very strong burst damage
-Can go Physical/Magic/Hybrid
-Good survival utility (Twilight shroud)
-Good farming skills
-Good regeneration from spell vamp

Cons
-Can be countered with resist items
-Oracles can counter survival
-Shut down by crowd control
-No crowd control

Farming in the early game is easy. You can use Mark of the Assassin to last hit OR you can put down a Mark of the Assassin then hit the minion if it is around 120 or so health. If you want to get multiple minions down, use Crescent Slash to take multiple minions out.

Passive
Basically this means Akali can get massive damage on her auto attacks through obtaining ability power and when gaining attack damage she will spell vamp for more.

#1 Skill to level up
Mark of the Assassin is basically Akali's damage, it will do low damage when you throw it at a enemy, but if you auto attack that enemy to trigger the amount it will explode in to satisfying results.

Get at least 1 level in early
Getting a level 1 Twilight Shroud throughout the game is important. Basically it keeps Akali safe or it can be used to slow enemies.

3rd skill
Crescent Slash is a great farming skill and it also can heal you from physical lifesteal, it will not apply on hit affects.

Ultimate
Helps Akali get in (or even out) of combat. She can use this skill to chase down running targets or to get across to her target. Can only be used on enemies.

This ability is like Corki's missile barrage as it stores up charges to a maximum of 3. Akali regains 1 charge on a kill or assist.
