I put the item order like this, u should see the items i use and the ones that i talk about at Item explanation section and see what fit your playstyle.
Im sure that u are a better player with Eve than me( We see that at the win ratio :)
This is just the way that i play her, this fit my agressive playstyle and i like rush hextech because i gank like a mad man when im lvl 6. I dont fight alot vs my enemie at mid lane, i just try harass him and farm until im lvl 6.

1. It's not only 1 item i dislike you just cant survive mid with that Gunblade rushing thing.

2. You got 35% win ratio with Evelynn - I got 73.7% (Really i don't want to flame you it's just what
it is like)

3. You should not argue with me about my vote, you cant change it you should try to figure out if i am maybe right, maybe you should just try my build to find out

I dont like stack doran's cause Imo it's a waste of gold.
And about rushing Abyssal, thats not really important if their team is not heavy Ap.
So i prefer getting abbyssal later in the game when survabiility is more important.
And i like the hextech gunblade CC cause i never iniciate with ulti. And why??? Cause they can flash, and if they flash i have my ulti to slow them. So in fact with hextech u have 2 slows, 1 for inicate and 1 for the finish.
And i undertend your point but Imo thats not a reason to downvote a guide...
Cause if u dont like just 1 item u should go to the situational items section...

Yes i did. And with rushing hextech u got a lack of survivability(dorans ring / abyssal) and the CC is not better than your ultimate and your ultimate got a really low CD so there is no reason to get a hextech gunblade in my opinion.
Btw with my build the dmg is higher too.

Edit: Also you play vs Ahri and Veigar and what ever, you won't be able to get off many lasthits so the ad(with low scales) are rly wasted.

I Rush Hextech Gunblade earlier cause u lack CC, and u are an assasin so u need CC to a better assassination...

Hey, I play Evelynn Ap Mid as my main and i have to say the 3625 wasted gold for Hextech Gunblade make me cry.
You are the Ap Carry, give me a reason for not playing ap carry.

I usually start with boots and 3 pots and get abyssal scepter as first core item after double dorans and sorcerer boots(pretty much like gragas) and this will work even after abyssal scepter nerf because of your low range.

Than i get Deathfiresgrasp Rabadones Lichbane and GA or sth defensive(here Gunblade is possible too but not that early).

No offense though its written good even if i do not agree with your build.
