Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Annie is one of the most terrific champions in the game. She has an amazing ability power output as well as an amazing stun. She is categorized in the Tier 1 list. This guide will show you how to play annie as well as take full advantage of her amazing abilities.
When the game first starts, call middle and level up your incinerate first until you have you stun up. If you follow me rune build and item build exactly as I posted you should start off with around 50+ AP, giving you a huge advantage. When you take mid do not use any of your abilities on the minions, wait until the perfect opportunity to strike. Keep that stun ready, when you get around level 2 that is when you will go for first blood. As soon as you get the chance let the enemy champion get half way up middle, then rush him and hit him with disintegrate, then incinerate and finally hit him with ignite. This has about a 90% chance of giving you first blood. If you kill the enemy champion this will almost give you enough gold to get mejai's soulstealer as well as give you the ability to outlevel your opponent. By the time the enemy champ you gets back you should be around level 5 or 6. When he returns back into the lane, recall and grab your mejais and health/mana potions. Also charge up your stun so when you return back into the lane, all you have to do is drop tibbers, incinerate, disintegrate and almost a guarantee to get another kill with annie. If you get the kill you will be able to once again outlevel your opponent as well as have the perfect opportunity to gank bottom and or top of your chosing. This helping your team be able to push lanes fast and more effectively.
Most build you will find on Annie will tell you to get Rod of Ages for mana and health. I find that completely unnecessary. That is why I get Haunting Guise, Giving you 20 AP, 180+ health, and the amazing passive of 20+ magic penetration. This giving you survivability, and ability power output. If your having a hard time staying alive grab a rylais crystal scepter early, this giving you tons of health and ability power which is far more useful than a Rod of Ages.
* Magic Penetration is very useful even against champions who are not stacking Magic Resist Items. This giving you abilities to take full tone of effect on champions. If you have 50+ Magic Penetration and most champions don't get Magic Resist you full AP output is fully getting thrust upon then, doing more AP damage.
