I prefer archamage's staff over rod of ages. Rod of ages gives u good HP/MP/AP, but you will no need the HP with evelynn. And the archmage's staff wil give you more MP and AP. But then I say: Dont buy archmage's staff. Eve can be better build as a nuker, which is cheaper and you will do more damage. Try my build:

eee staff 1st? Soulstealer last?
Ravage lvled so slow and last?
Lethality with that % of crit instead of ArP?

You're right about ravage, and staff, but I don't think mejais is feasible in a real game.
