Ahri

Always roam after your first back because she does not have a good escape before level 6. Also, if you hit a hook on her late game always go for the q e r combo so that she cannot react with her ult. If she tries to mash the keyboard with R after getting hooked, your e will always cancel her first R if you cast it right away after landing your hook. (Sometimes I like to wait 0.2 seconds to cast e to bait out the ahri and cancelling her R just mid -air) - Most times just stick to casting right away though because you may miss her.

Akali

She is really difficult to play against in mid games. If akali is on the enemy team don't try to initiate but wait and always protect adc and mid laner with your e q and r combo.

Alistar

Alistar is really easy to play against. Many people think that he is direct counter to blitzcrank along with morgana, braum and leona. Just keep hooking him or adc in lane before he hits lvl 3. Remember his lvl 3 is his powerspike so if he does anything before then your bot lane always has the advantage. Keep denying him in lane and he will become too squishy and irrelevant after mid-game.

Amumu

Hard to play against in my opinion. Don't ever try to pull him. If he is on enemy team always try to initiate with your hook and land it on the highest dps champs in enemy team so that his stun will become meaningless. Try to help put words deep in enemy jungle to help your jungler counterjungle him and punish him for his pick before level 6.

Anivia

Anivia is really strong in lane pushing and wave clear. She has an egg to revive if you land your hook. If enemy adc is caitlyn, draven, mf, kaisa, and so on that cannot escape your hook, always put priority on them if you can. Be careful when trying to go roaming in mid lane because a lot of the times you guys can get countered before finishing up her egg in higher elo. she is easy to hook before she buys banshees item so hook her. But know that her wave clear is one of the best in game and try to play around other lanes.

Annie

Easy to play against as a enemy mid laner or enemy support player. Always hook her whenever you can, it will lead to victory every time. Her champion is quite small, however, so try to be aware of that when you pull her. You will be surprised to see that a hook sometimes may seem like its going straight through her.

Ashe

Easy Peasy. Hook her end of game.

Aurelion Sol

He is really hard to play against, and he has great roaming skills in early game. Always ward enemy jungle and river and watch map for him. Do not engage when you don't see him on the map as he might as well be right next to your tri bush. Hook him, he is a goner because he has no escape. Hitbox is big so he is definitely one of the easier champions to hook. He is really versatile so hook him and try to fist bump when he uses his ability to escape. Always have time to put an aa in between your combos for him because he reacts really slowly.

Azir

Don't try to roam against azir because it is so hard to do. But if you do, it is best to flash and cancel his w q e animation by blocking him and then using e q to cc him. Late game, if you land a hook on him you will most likely win the fight. Don't let him easily pull off a shurima shuffle.

Blitzcrank

Brand

He is really strong but he lacks escape skills. If you see him in lane, always be wary of his damage output. Do not try to walk on him in most cases he will stun you and put you to half hp. Try to hook him in range and always avoid his skills because they hurt a lot. Use the standard w q e r combo but sometimes wait to proc a thunder passive of your ult to deal more damage. Depending on matchup I like to go Aftershock or Guardian because his skills do hurt. I end up using aftershock because of the extra damage, but if the patch notes have nerfed one use the other interchangably against this champion.

Braum

He is one of Blitzcrank's counters, but he isn't quite as tanky and you can benefit from hooking him in lane as well. But make sure to never hook braum first. Always trade damage, hook adc and wait for braum to back and then hook him. It is kind of difficult to explain here but it is important to hook him after his skills are on cdr. That is the only timing you should be landing hooks on him. Never hook him when you are at a disadvantage(minion wave, weaker adc, weaker items, etc)_.

Caitlyn

She is really really easy. Just stay out of her auto range early game and hook her when you can. She is really easy except when her support is morgana, then it becomes really really hard. Always avoid playing blitzcrank when enemy matchup is cait and morgana. Always play blitzcrank when its caitlyn because you can always flash q on her mid game very easily and her e animation is always slower than your hook so you can just hook her directly where she is and she will not be able to react unless she also uses flash.

Camille

Hard to play against, he can e out of hook mid air too which is really frustrating. Try to hook other enemy champions and put camile on 4th or last priority to hook.

Cassiopeia

She is fairly easy to land a hook because she cannot buy boots as her passive. Avoid her w and r and always try to hook her.

Cho'Gath

Try to not hook him late game as he is very tanky. Try to protect adc against him if you can't find a way to hook enemy dealer.

Corki

He is very slippery. I find it hard to land a hook on him because his w timing is faster than our q motion. He can dash away faster than we can hook him. He always plays at a distance so punish him if he comes to close and wastes his w. He can be really annoying and always be wary of his passive, his estimated arrival time to bot lane and ping the adc that he can be coming really soon.

Darius

Don't try to hook him into your adc ever. He is really strong and one of the strongest top laners in game as of now. Never initiate on him after mid-game because he has a lot of potential. Always peel him off of your adc with e and use your w to get away.

Diana

A relatively hard champion to play against depending on enemy pilot of diana. I try to roam and shut her down at around lvl 4 with Mobility Boots if I can. She has a lot of burst so use your e defensively to peel for your adc.

Dr. Mundo

Easy target before level 6. If you see him in your jungle always try to land cc so that your jungler can punish him. Do not try to hook him late game unless he is the only one left or in the viscinity. He can't really close the gap to your adc so always position yourself between your adc and him in every situation. Be a body block for his q so that his q cannot hit your adc. If your adc gets hit with his q its not your adc's fault, it is yours.

Draven

Always hook him in lane. Do not walk up to him with w e q combo you will most likely lose the trade. The only way to win trade is by hooking him from a distance. Mid-game he becomes quite easy target to hook in my opinion because he has no defense against your q.

Ekko

Ekko is really versatile and you will most likely never land a single hook on him in game if he is better than average. His e, w and r all act as position changers. Don't focus on hooking him focus peeling for adc against him every time. Always get knights vow for adc against him and the aegis item. Always ward bush and never facecheck because he can ambush, roam so easily.

Elise

She is easy to land a hook actually. But know that your q can be also blocked by her spiderlings so always be wary of that.

Evelynn

She is really hard to play against in late game. Always stay close to your adc especially when she lands her w on your adc. If you see the heart animation on your teammates it means that she is close so pay attention and guard your adc.

Ezreal

He is easy to play against. Land a hook on him to see if he can e away. If he does e away, then always scare him with your position but hook the enemy support in lane. In most cases, he will be still scared of you but you will not give him any attention and hook the support. After level 6 simply walk up to him with w and use r q e combo. But he still can react with his e if he is on the fringe of your ultimate so I say try to predict where he will use his e instead unless you are really super close to him then use e q r combo.

Fiddlesticks

He is really hard to play against because he can just fear you away if you try to go in. Always hook him from a distance whenever he comes up to you in lane for his e harass. He is really easy once you start landing hooks on him because he is so squishy.

Fiora

Hardest champions to play against as blitzcrank in my opinion. Don't try to pull him always use r first when trying to peel for your adc to deny her w which reflects skillshots and stuns. So when you land r he can't use w for 0.5 seconds use e and q interchangeably depending on the situation.

Fizz

I say fizz is easy to play against. Just be wary of his q and e skills and pull him when his skills are on cdr. I like to go roam on him because he always initiates against your mid laner first in lane early game for the advantage. Just simply wait until he jumps in and use w e q combo.

Galio

Hard to play against, hard to roam against, do not pull him. Focus on peeling adc, pulling enemy dealer and canceling his ult as he channels.

Gangplank

Easy to land a hook because he can't use w mid-air. I think good gps know how to use their w + flash to escape a blitz hook but most of them don't. He is quite squishy mid game so you can definitely hook him.

Garen

Always try to peel for adc.

Gnar

you can pull him when his gage is down. Never pull him while mega gnar. Always wait to cancel his e jump with your e fist after you have pulled him. Do not use q aa e combo. Q wait for his e and use e.

Gragas

Squishy champ and large hitbox. Don't initiate on him if you can, but you can if you must.

Graves

Easier than gragas because you can easily cancel his e and r animation with your r and e.

Hecarim

Easy to hook. Relatively large hitbox. he has no escape unless he uses his ult. If you land a hook and he ults away you cannot lose teamfight in an ideal situation because he will have no presence for a long time.

Heimerdinger

Hard to play against because he can use his q - turrets to block hooks.

Illaoi

Never hook an illaoi please!

Irelia

She can q out of your hook once you landed it so make sure to cancel it with your e. Always try to peel her off of your adc.

Ivern

Ivern is annoying and always watch out for his ganks. But once you reach mid game, he is an easy pick so hit your hook . on him.

She is your counter. As in you are her #1 counter.

Jarvan IV

He can use his e q combo to get out of your hooks so try to use r e q combo. If you use q and he then uses eq he can still get away and the animation will show that the hook has landed but he has gotten away still. Be aware of this and try to use e and q combo as your e can cancel his eq combo but not your q. His r is cc irrelevant meaning that you cannot land any cc's on his r animation. He is easy pick after you know that though.

Easiest enemy adc laner to play against.

She is really easy to play against but becareful because she can outplay you with her flash. The difference between her and other adcs is that she can use flash to dodge your hook and still get a lot of damage output. Other adcs will have lost their attack tempo except for vayne. So easy to hook in lane.

Kai'Sa

Hard to hook, always try to hook her first. Once you get the hang of it she is really squishy.

Kalista

Don't pick blitz when enemy picks kalista. Your hooks will not land 90% of the times. Pick something else like alistar, thresh, janna so on.

Karma

Easy to hook, easy to kill. I sometimes even hook her instead of enemy adc because she is very easy kill.

You can melt her even before she ults herself. A Tip is to hook her, wait for teammates to get her hp down to half. (You aa her) and then e r combo so that she cannot react.

Always try to e r q combo, and predict when she will use her w towards your adc and q her then. It is easy to predict because she will use w 3 seconds after she hits q. Don't try to predict her as she runs away, just let her run away and focus on other things.

Lee Sin

Hook him always. He is so scared of your hooks. Use q and use e like a second after to cancel his w. Don't use q and e right away as he will easily ward jump away. Always be smart to cancel his ward jump. Always peel for him in fights as he can try to insec kick your adc. if he lands a q on your adc always stick close to your adc, and cc him when he comes flying in by using your e and r.

Leona

She is hard to play against, but one tip is that once she comes in, try to zone away enemy adc, and then try to pull her as she walks away. The timing that she walks away is her most vulnerable spot. Her skillsets cdr are all 9~14 seconds long and she cannot do anything. Punish her like that but try to not pick blitzcrank if you see enemy laner playing leona. I sometimes do if I see that enemy team has 3 or more champions that are easy to pick.

Lissandra

Focus on peeling her off, and target other people to hook most of the times, unless it is absolutely necessary and she is a good pick (over unwarded bushes, she is last one left or when you are 100% sure there is nobody around).

Lucian

It is relatively easy to play against a lucian because your q animation is a tiny bit superior to his e animation, meaning that when you land your q and he dashes away, the hitbox converges a lot of the times and he ends up being pulled to you. Always hook him where he is at first because a lot of players don't react to the hooks first. If you see that he always reacts to your hooks with dashes or movements then start to predict after that. I think he is on the easier ones to hook because his dash is fairly direct and obvious.

Lulu

Easy to play against. She is really squishy so try to pull her in lane a lot. Don't be afraid because you can counter her very easily.

Lux

Malphite

Always try to peel for adc, dodge his ult and try not to be close to your adc because he will most likely try to focus on your adc. It is better if you do not get hit. If you see him as support, don't feel afraid to hook him because he can't really do anything before lvl 6.

Malzahar

Always get his cc shield off and use w aa e r q combo. Try to buy a mikaels for your adc as first item. He becomes so easy to deal with with a mikaels. I always like to rush mikaels whenever he is on enemy team.

Maokai

Peel for adc never pull this guy. just stick right next to adc. Sometimes they can use w on you instead.

Master Yi

Just always use e q combo 90% of the times. Easy to hook as well but he can counter you with an alpha strike so just be ware of that one skill.

Miss Fortune

Easy matchup.

Mordekaiser

Maybe not in your best interest to hook the morde. Try to peel him off of your squishies and know that he will always try to get an early dragon. and ward up the dragon side fairly often and get a nice pick. Roams mid may not result well a lot of the times. If your jungler is pinging that he is going mid laner, try to go with him as a 1 v 3 will surely shut him down. His damage output is supposed to be good so just be careful.

Morgana

Hard to play against a good morgana. A lot of the times their arent' really many good morgana's until diamond 3 and upwards, but try to not pick blitz when enemy bot lane is morgana or sivir. You can always win against her with an r q e combo that denies her black shield and by pretending to use w and walk up on adc and hooking the other target that she has not used her black shield against. But she is really annoying so try to ban her first.

Nami

Easy if you just land a hook on her because she is very squishy. Just don't let her harass you with her e empowered aa's. If your adc is a little dumb and keeps trading with nami lvl1, just back up to tower and try to make a play there.

Nasus

Easy to deal with because he cannot do anything against your cc's. In most cases, you will win the teamfight even if you pull the nasus, but if he seems to be fed and very tanky, just peel him off.

Nautilus

Always use e and then q. His q denies your hook. Always position yourself in between naut and your adc and don't let him hit hooks on your adc ever. once he does, he will start to dominate the lane so don't give him a chance.

Nidalee

Easy to hook in my opinion because if you hook and she reacts with her w pounce then your hook still lands most of the times. She cannot react with her w to dodge your hook if your hook landed right. Always try to target her in teamfights and peel off adc for her pounce e q combo.

Nocturne

His shield can deflect your q. Just try to peel your adc stick close to him and always go with him when he goes pushing a side lane and use r e q combo for noct.

Nunu & Willump

Hard cannot land any cc on him once he has ult, be sure to ign or exh first and don't waste your abilities on him once he has his ult ragnarok on.

Orianna

Always roam mid to secure a shut down early game. Always be aware of her ult in teamfights.

try to cancel his ult with your e and r. Nothing you can do against him just make sure to focus his weaker teammates first.

Pantheon

landing a hook on him is really great. but always make sure to use aa's in between combos to deny his passive.

hard to deal with a poppy as eneemy support, top or jungle. Try to peel her off adc and focus enemy adc.

He is so quick that you probably won't be able to catch him so don't waste your q and wait until he uses his e animation to kick and deflect and jump back and hook where he has jumped to in most cases just use w e q combo.

Rakan

Hard to play against but one tip is to target the adc (rakan, caitlyn) as he will almost always e to his teammates. He is really hard to catch if you target him, but a lot of the times you will pull him instead when you try to catch their adc.

Rammus

Never pull him, Always initiate yourself and pick out their mid, adc or top before he comes in. Not many ways you can cc him off of your adc so it is best to kill enemy dealer first.

Rek'Sai

Hook him and its easy. Watch out for his ganks and tunnels.

Always buy control ward and place it on your adc when he ults. He is visible through control wards so make use of it and peel. Don't try to save your flash, always use flash to save adc if you have to.

I like to focus tahm and not their adc whenever tahm is on the enemy team. Put priority on their adc, then tahm as focusing the tahm will lead to great teamfights in general. Try to put damage to him to cancel his ult animation if he is near. Always anticipate for him to join the fight if you see that their adc is alone, tahm is not on the map and they are both lvl 6 and up. Can't really win lane unless you land consecutive hooks on the adc in lane.
