hey there, welcome to my kat build here i will show you how i play katarina and why i am epic with her, i will cover runes, masteries, items, summoner spells and tactics. so without further adue lets go.

so as for runes i go pretty simple, i go magic penertration marks for the 10 magic pen at level 1, which in most cases means that squishy mages have no magic resist against you. and as your mid that is who will most likely be against you.

the rest of the runes are simple there just flat magic incease glyphs, seals and quints. this is so at level 2 or 3 once you have part of your majais soul stealer and used ignite you have 60 ap, not to bad.

masteries are pretty standard set up to the basic ap build, but as your kat you can move the mana increase masteries into the dodge to give you a slight dodge chance instead.

items are pretty easy, you start of with boots and 3x health pots, and once you have enough go back and buy your mejais and or sorrcers shoes. then from there build a hex-tech gunblade for the ap increase and attack damage increase and the lifesteal and spell steal. then you can build a rylais crystal scepter to give you some health and make it harder for people to escape you, then build rabadons deathcap and finally you can choose between another gunblade or viodstaff, i find that i have won most games before this item so it is really up to you.

skill sequence is simple max boucning blades first, as your harassing alot you need its damage, then max shunpo and finally killer instincts while remembering to get your ultimate whenever possible.

so for summoner spells i take flash and ignite, why flash, so i can either escape through walls and not die to lose my stacks, or to flash closer to someone then shunpo them. i take ignite for the last hitting damage as alot of time people escape with stupidly low hp, and ignite is great for finishing them off.

other viable summoner spells would be exhaust instead of flash, this gives you more chance to kill people, or teleport to get around and get kills quicker.

so here is the important part, playing as kat. IMPORTANT NOTE: take mid, this guide is best suited to solo killing squishy mid characters.

firstly i take mid lane and once i hit level 4 i can really start to harass, if you are just harassing use killer instincts and then bouncing blades him to do max damage to minions and champions, if your going for a kill bouncing blades him then use KI and then shunpo for reduced damage.

once level 6 most mids wont stand a chance, simply jump in with shupo after using KI then use your ultimate and finish off with bouncing blades and ignite.

pretty much the rest of the game is simple use the above combo for most situations, and try to get into fights a little after your team mates so that the opposition are less focused on killing you so you can get off a full ultimate and do max damage possible.
