Honestly Shen is a great first pick for ranked because he can jungle. A jungle shen can be very swift when timed correctly. I appreciate the advice on runes, but it's how he jungles faster and more efficiently. A Wit's End can always be good for the MR, but again if they have a bloodrazers on one enemy champion or more, change the mallet to a FoN like I noted :3

That is pretty good, can i just suggest though, if you are going for some armor pen runes, don't take the attack speed as well. Maybe use a wits end instead of a frozen mallet, it will give you more mr and attack speed for your damage. It will also make you less susceptible to a madreds blood razor, because at the moment you would be shredded by one with that little mr and so much health. Also try to get your dash up 2nd or on level 3 because it is also useful for escape, which can be just as helpful as your feint

just my opinion, but otherwise pretty sturdy...

oh and don't jungle shen, so many others do it better
